This is a huge rabbit hole and, relatively unknown, a significant source of magickal power. It can feel like plugging into a transformer. Sometimes you need all that power, but most of the time you do not. I'm not exactly sure how to locate them by feel or vibe, but there are resources that have them mapped out quite well. If i remember Spirit Science on Youtube has an episode about them.
One of the key aspects of Ley Lines is where they intersect and form Nodes. Many of these are compromised with institutional structures deliberately built on them—think the Vatican or Washington D.C. It’s a complete rabbit hole.

The main point is that there are energetic grids throughout reality. Magick uses energy. Ley Lines are literally roaring rivers of energy in our field.
Because it is a roaring river, you will rarely need to be right on top of them. Being in the geographical area is sufficient. It kind of reminds me of Sedona, where everyone rushes to meditate on top of a vortex. Why? it's ok. You're in Sedona- thats enough.

There's an amazing rabbit hole waiting for you to follow on this.

When I was a teenager, I subscribed to a magazine called Stonehenge Viewpoint, which specialised on this subject. There have been researchers who delve well into it. I've forgotten some of the names now, as it's over 50 years ago, but they won't be hard to find. Alfred Watkins and Paul Mitchell are two of the main ones to look for. If you stick with them, you can negotiate your way past the new agey claptrap modern books that just repeat the same information or make up silliness.

I highly recommend a book called Earth Magic by Francis Hitching. I still have a copy of this one and recently acquired a Gaussmeter because of it. Why is explained in the book.

Here's the good part: You can very likely find this book through your local library, at least through interlibrary loan.

In the meantime, if you check their catalogue with search terms like 'ley lines' and 'earth energies', there might well be a wealth of information at your fingertips. Look for the authors mentioned above. These people did serious study.
