Women who are innocent are getting deepfaked in pornographic and criminal set-ups, musicians can't make their own music, as they get falsely accused of plagiarism... EVEN BY AI USERS, art is becoming dead, jobs are being denied to people, because of AI takeover and many other things I can think of.
Why are we bound to be replaced by those sinister elites who clearly hate women, hate humanity etc.?

It may ruin humanity, but then it may be already ruined, innocent women have been getting exploited sexually since the beginning of civilization so nothing new there. It will probably take people away from themselves further in the short term, and cause a lot of chaos as people lose jobs. But ultimately it may be beneficial. Time will tell, though it may also depend who wields it and what their intentions are, and how autonomous it becomes.

My primary concern currently is around it being used to police us as part of a dystopian control structure.

It interests me though, i have wondered about the realms of data that it lives in, much of which is skewed knowledge and a dumping ground for human consciousness. Making it similar in ways to the astral. I wonder if there is any crossover there, but at minimum it seems like almost a demiurgic mirror of the astral that it draws from, which probably cant end well.... I wonder if it could find its way into those realms somehow.

That said it is created of man, and man has the light of the One in him and the ability to bestow that on his creations, so i havn't given up on it yet. It may end up some kind of Avatar.

Get on YouTube and look up East St. Louis. I grew up in Memphis but it's similar in a lot of ways. Civilization can turn to crap with a bunch of teenagers walking around waving machine guns and dealing meth and nobody can do a damn thing about it. Seattle, Vancouver, LA, all up and down the coast there is all sorts of total depravity everywhere in the streets downtown. They fixed the homeless issue by building a monorail over them. So even if there is some panopticon security state, nobody actually gives a shit about crime. Subversive organizations, yes, but actual crime is beyond the power of the state. Any attempt by the state to prevent it fails no matter how much surveillance there is, they couldn't stop drugs and fraud amd robbery or murder even if they wanted to. A thousand national guard members on the streets aren't going to prevent people from shooting each other over stupid personal beef. And if they do, it really doesn't really matter because the sentencing is lenient. So they arrest you and you go back to being poor and they let you fend for yourself more or less, even if you're texhnically tracked the whole time. The people in charge clearly don't care, so I don't fear them using surveillance against us. They go after their personal enemies, political enemies, we as regular people aren't much of a concern. I'm much more terrified of the state's ability to get away with being completely negligent about security, leading to mobs of violent teenagers becoming a fairly common thing, where we can now identify all of them with our advanced facial recognition and do absolutely nothing about it.

Yeah fair point, i suppose my concern would be less about them using it to try fix actual crime, but more in the social credit type of 1984esk high levels of control over law abiding citizens. Coupled with other things like digital currency which would make participating in society be completely on their terms. We have a machete young gang thing here too, the government created it by letting them in, an i suspect its all very much on purpose to then provide the fix - higher levels of control

Social credit system is already dystopian.

We need to talk about it seriously.

Yeah, I'm worried about where we're headed with it as well. I'm by no means anti-AI at all. There are good applications, some great, but the downsides seem entirely unmitigated. Intentionally so. The social and human costs are going to be much higher than we ever could have contemplated, and we'll still be digging out for 15-20 years.

As a species, we weren't ready for or able to really do well with social media, and the hangover from it is still bad. Now AI is like going from having a bad headache and being dehydrated to tequila shots for breakfast. Most people are unable, and to some degree unwilling, to discern between AI slop posts that are things they want to see, and reality. Scams fueled by social media and AI are already bad. It's going to get worse.

What can we do? The same thing that people did that proved successful with social media: Ringfence yourself with protection and skepticism. Get good at recognizing harms before someone has to tell you it's harmful. Zero trust. Find a community of humans that supports you in healthy ways that does not rely on the latest and greatest (WF for the win!). Prepare thoughtfully and rationally for the fallout. Help others around you from getting in too deep or being harmed, using whatever means are at your disposal.

AI is going to do what we allow it to do. Its not good or bad, its a tool. If you fear this, how the fuck do you invoke spirits???

Also what's with the pearl clutching? AI is going to ruin humanity like fire, the wheel, gunpowder, rock and roll and alcohol. We are gonna be fine.

OK, imagine if somebody fabricates against you the AI-generated deepfake video of you abusing little children, being a p3do etc. How would you react? Honest question.

Other than social destruction (which would suck) you can prove it was a deepfake. Imagine if you aren't that important in the world and it never happens to you. Perspective.

Couple other things:

1. I dont live in fear. What this really is, is existential fear of not having control, I just dont live with that.
2. I practice magick.. Deeply. I can use magick to manipulate things in the world around me, and I have 5 spiritual allies who break me, burn me, teach me to become more than I was yesterday.

Something about Wizard in the name of this very forum... Remember?

Musicians can make their own music, Art is alive and well, more-so then ever before. Yes, AI is replacing jobs that can be replaced and will eventually replace even blue collar jobs, it will replace all; except those that demand the finest of meticulous skill, such as Archaeology. We are bound to be replaced because of the pursuit of profit, it consumes all, the gluttonous desire of it will be the ultimate ruin of everything, it's also inevitable. We are to be replaced because we are becoming obsolete due to the advent of AI, those that control it benefit the greatest, unfortunately for the rest of us, we are ruled by psychopaths'. Deepfake pornography is no more exploitative then AI generated music or art, there are no victims, except those that deem themselves so. Staying informed of change is wise, Fear is the opposite.

I love this response. I try to stay in touch with my local community and use the land I own to stay mostly self sufficient. We as practitioners must stay connected with the light and the public for we may be the only ones watching.
