Hi guest! As you can see, the new Wizard Forums has been revived, and we are glad to have you visiting our site! Registering allows you to see all posts, and make posts yourself, which would be great if you could share your knowledge and opinions with us! You could also make posts to ask questions!
I used to when I was brainwashed, you just take it for granted and don't really think twice about it: "hey they went to the moooooon, the US says so and it's on video, it must be real!", well many years ago I woke up luckily but I have to admit that it was an excellent pantomime, truly truly well accomplished.
For sure. If India and China both independently verified we left stuff up there is still up there, that's a pretty good sign.
Sadly, it takes some specialized equipment to use the laser reflector, but it's up there, too. Another thing to test against for the Soviets at the time. They got the laser to bounce off the reflector, so that ended the discussion. Telemetry and radio signals head and corroborated by the Soviets, China, etc. There's a whole lot of data that at some point gets so complicated to try and fake, it would be easier just to go to the freakin' moon and do it for real.
Besides the hundreds of thousands of civilians involved, even if you shot a rocket out into nothingness every time, why do that during the Apollo 16 and 17 era when Americans with their short attention spans stopped paying attention? Keeping up appearances alone? ICBM practice? We got the math already, didn't need more.

The fact that makes me realize that it was total bullshit is that if they really went there back in the 60's by now we would have at least infrastructures, buildings and above all tourism on that moon.
I am not sure it would be worth it . Its a bit like people wanting to claim Australia in the 1700s , an initial rush to be first and claim the great 'missing southern continent ' ... but when they got here it was an expensive trip here and back and not anything here worth the trip in the first place (according to those at the time ) .
With the Moon, its far too expensive a trip and set up to send convicts there .
Yes, I believe that they really landed on the Moon. However, I also suspect that the American authorities, with the tacit consent of other countries, in that regard themselves launched skepticism about the Moon landing. The reason for that strange conspiracy is that since that time, no one has tried to go there anymore, neither America, nor China, nor Russia, nor the Europeans, no one. Sending robots is one thing, and sending living humans on such a mission is another. I believe they want to hide what they discovered there, whether on the Moon itself or regarding the Moon landing, it doesn’t matter. The fact is that there are no more flights to the Moon, and instead, we have focused on wars and politics. It is easier for the authorities to be accused of staging the Moon landing than of hiding what they actually discovered about it. So, there is something there...
