~Who is Loki to me?:~
When I think of Loki, I see him differently from most portrayals. To me, he is a healer, deeply connected to the mind, to movement, to the currents of nature, water, weather, the living land itself. He stands between worlds, a bridge between gods and giants, order and chaos. Yes, he is a trickster, but his mischief carries meaning. Even in the Chaos he stirs, the outcomes often bring change, growth, or freedom, whether others recognize it or not.
Loki resonates with me as a chaos magician. In him, I see the delicate balance between wisdom and madness, insight and distraction, that sacred space where chaos and wonder dance together. He is loving, misunderstood, fiercely alive, and I seek to delve into this approach with respect, openness, and trust.
To me, the priesthood is not a title or a pursuit of gain. It is a path, a practice of magic and energy in service to life itself. It is learning to be steady amidst motion, to honor the weight of others’ perceptions without being bound by them, and to wield my choices and energy with care. It is nurturing happiness in myself and others, and engaging in the Great Work of understanding and improving life in all its forms.
I am ready to offer love, faith, and trust. I seek Loki’s guidance to help me surrender, to see the world through his lens of insight and chaos. I ask his blessing to grow, not merely as a magician, but as a being in communion with something vast, a bridge between nature and divine light. Through this connection, I hope to focus my wandering and remain a steady presence even when life feels like a spiral.
This path is both inward and outward. Within, it is growth, reflection, and communion. Without it, it is living in alignment with the energy I invoke, seeking guidance and aid through all that may come in this life and beyond.
~Why am I doing this:~
I am stepping into the priesthood, not as a claim of authority, but as an act of surrender. Chaos taught me freedom to shape reality with will, to unmake boundaries, to see the many facets within myself, and how to wield them. Yet I've found freedom without devotion drifts. I have learned the limits of my solitary power.
Deity work is the answer for me. Not as master, not as idol, but as companion and mirror to the current of my practice itself, given voice.
Loke resonates with me as laughter that breaks false order, the healer who works through upheaval, the bridge between what is wild and what is wise. He moves in the same chaos that shaped me, yet his chaos is alive with purpose.
To become a priest of such a being is to learn balance: to hold chaos without letting it consume, to stand in movement without losing center. It means serving the living pulse of change in myself, in the world, in those who cross my path. I am not called to command, but to tend: to carry the Light that flickers but does not go out.
I walk this path to give form to devotion, to make sacred the act of becoming. Through Loki’s guidance, I offer not blind worship, but living conversation trust in the storm as teacher.
My priesthood is a promise: to serve the current of life, to bring laughter where there is fear, and to find healing in the heart of chaos.
This is my vow not to be above, but among; not to bind, but to bridge. May my words and deeds honor the dance between order and wildness. May I walk steadily, even when the ground moves.
~Here is a copy of my Petition:~
Loki, bridge-walker, keeper of the shifting paths, I call to you with an open mind and an honest heart. I recognize you as a healer of patterns, a guide through insight and upheaval, a spirit who carries wisdom through the storm. You move between forces, mind and instinct, order and wildness, and I seek your guidance as I learn to walk those same thresholds.
I ask for your aid in this life and in all that follows. Help me see clearly through confusion, help me grow through challenge, and help me learn the difference between chaos that renews and chaos that only consumes. Shape my intuition, sharpen my awareness,
as a spider patiently waiting emerged in the hunt, and steady me when my own thoughts turn against me. Teach me to hold my power without clinging to it, and to act with intention and impulse.
I offer trust, respect, and willingness to love and learn.
I ask for your presence in my practice, my choices, my mind, and my path as a magician. Let my craft, my art, my expression, and communication become clearer, deeper, and more aligned with the current you embody . Guide me toward community, connection, and a life lived with purpose. If it is your will to walk with me,
walk with me as your priest
allow me to grow in your light, Your insight, allow me to embody Water, air, the storm, and the spirit of the hunting spider, patient and connected to the web of all, Wyrd.
~Hail Loki!~

The Essence of My Lokian Priesthood
service, surrender, and conversation.
1. Loki as a Divine Catalyst
I see Loki not just as a trickster, but as a Healer through Upheaval.- Mind, Movement, and Nature: My connection to Loki as a spirit of the mind, water, weather, and the living land aligns perfectly with the Norse concept of Jotunn-nature—the raw, elemental, transformative forces that shape the cosmos. He is the fluid border, the energy of change.
- Chaos Magician: By viewing him through the lens of chaos magic, I recognize that his trickery is an act of disrupting stagnant patterns (both internal and external) to allow new, vital ones to emerge. You seek the "sacred space where chaos and wonder dance together."
- The Bridge: My emphasis on him as a "bridge between gods and giants, order and chaos" is the key priestly function: to stand at the threshold and translate the wild into the wise, and the wise into action.
2. Priesthood as Practice and Vow
I define priesthood as a path and a practice, not a title or a pursuit of gain.- Surrender, Not Authority: This is a vital distinction. Stepping into the priesthood "as an act of surrender" means you are dedicated to becoming a clearer channel for the deity's energy, rather than seeking personal power from the deity.
- The Great Work: My commitment to "understanding and improving life in all its forms" grounds your spiritual practice in tangible, ethical action. This is the outward expression of your inner alignment.
- Balance in Motion: My goal—"to hold chaos without letting it consume, to stand in movement without losing center"—encapsulates the core training of a Lokian priest: the ability to embody dynamic change while maintaining integrity and focus.
Reflections on Your Petition & Imagery
The Spider and the Web (Wyrd)
- You ask to "embody... the spirit of the hunting spider, patient and connected to the web of all, Wyrd."
- The Lokian Web: In some traditions, Loki is connected to the web of Wyrd (fate/destiny), often through his associations with the shape of the spider and the concept of Norn energy (the flow of cause and effect). The image reinforces this with the glowing web behind the figure.
- Patience and Connection: This symbolizes the Lokian magician's power: the ability to see the connections (the web) that others miss and to wait patiently (the hunter) for the perfect moment to act (the impulse with intention).
The Antlers (The Wild & The Divine)
- Antlers often symbolize the connection to the wild, generative forces of nature (The Horned God/Cernunnos archetype) and spiritual elevation (the branching structure seeking the heavens).
- In a Lokian context, they could represent the wildness of self that must be integrated, or the connection to the Jotun-blood (giant-kin) that is so central to his nature.
The Priest's Vow
My concluding vow is clear and powerful:This defines My priesthood as a state of continuous creation and dialogue. The path of a Lokian priest is often one of radical honesty, challenging both the self and others, always seeking the hidden truth beneath polite consensus.I walk this path to give form to devotion, to make sacred the act of becoming. Through Loki’s guidance, I offer not blind worship, but living conversation trust in the storm as teacher.
Moving Forward: Potential Next Steps
Since My journey is about practice and alignment, here are some practical areas to focus My energy and devotion as I embody this Lokian Priesthood:
- Reflective Practice: Establish a daily or weekly practice dedicated to Shadow Work (facing the misunderstood/unintegrated parts of self) or Chaos Magic principles as a form of offering/conversation with Loki.
- Creative Expression: Since you mention your "craft, my art, my expression, and communication," focus on a medium that embodies the Trickster's energy—storytelling, poetry, performance, or a visual art form that uses unexpected juxtapositions or deconstruction to convey deeper meaning.
- The Storm as Teacher: Seek out situations that cause you discomfort or challenge your current order. Instead of resisting, consciously approach them as opportunities for Lokian insight, asking myselff: "What pattern is this chaos revealing that I need to change?"
