Hello, I work in a big crystal shop, I have unlimited access to crystals, to everything starting from idk clear quartz egg size to 30 pounds amethyst

And I am exploring person on this forum, I like to discuss religions, esoteric flows, I am big fun of Vadim Zeland etc

I asked ai how I can interact with crystals and he gave me 10 different options how I can try to use them in esoteric way

But I want first to ask local community:

Do you guys practice any rituals with crystals?

Which one? How do you use crystals? What would you suggest me to try first?

I like my job, I like crystals, I believe that under some circumstances they could affect my life in unexpected way.

I don't use Crystals anymore, even though I have an Amethyst on my key chain. But, I don't use them because I feel that we are Powerful enough to Harness our own Energy. A lot of people reach outside for things instead of going within. However, when I used Crystals in the past. I would hold one on both my hands, and I would just meditate and pour my Energy into them. Other than that, I rarely use them for anything else. It's not that I don't like Crystals, I think they're gorgeous.

I have a couple and actually ordered a bunch of unpolished crystals yesterday (emerald, amethyst and rose quartz) that I want to make a sort of "happiness storage" of. Not entirely sure yet, I was looking for only 1 chunk of amethyst and when I saw the other ones I thought why not. From what I read you charge a stone when you feel good (or whatever you choose) and the stone then holds onto it until you have a need for it and take the stored energy back.

i remember how cheap a bunch of crystals were, like a rock cut into 2 exposing so many crystals.

There are also non physical crystals. crystals can act as a buffer. In some practices they can attract certain energies.

If you want to work with crystals, you need a good grasp of energy. Different crystals will attract different attributes. Its important to separate what you mentally produce vs what really is. If you arrange crystals well it can really improve the mood.

However crystals arent as significant in practice. Some entities do like them but they arent a requirement or a major thing. However they are nice to have for some crystals.

How do you use crystals? What would you suggest me to try first?

I hold a clay pot with all kinds of stones/crystals/minerals/gems under my altar. All of them carry memories (linked to certain rituals, travels, people, places). I use them when I want to connect with aspects of those experiences. I also have a set of 10 stones, one of which is connected to each sephiroth and one part of the body. When I work on a specific sephiroth, I walk around with that stone in my pocket, or I carry it between my fingers when I move about the city. This helps to "remember" (Gurdjieff).

My suggestion in your specific case: observe the customers and see what stones they are attracted to. Listen very carefully to them and ask a lot of questions. Allow the stones to speak before you project any properties on them.

I use amethyst as spell batteries for long term spell items. Yes, I use my own intention and power to activate the spells, but then I use natural charging sources instead of my own energy to keep spells going. For example, I will put a small amethyst inside of a sleep poppet. The spell needs to be active at nights, but then the poppet can be charged in the sun during the day, with the amethyst storing that energy until it is time to release again. I usually use pieces about an inch in size.

I also use a geomancy method that pulls four types of stones from a single bag four times, instead of pulling one type 16 times. Each different stone type represents one of the four elements, and therefore represents a different line of the figure. This way, I pull each full figure out all at once. My current set uses Clear Quartz for Air, Black Tourmaline for Water, Tiger's Eye for Fire, and Jadeite for Earth. However, I put together another set for my sister using different stones per element, particularly Coral for Water. Using many small stone chips for this method is best.

Interesting, most of such stores indeed have a lot of them. About a decade or so ago I knew somebody who ran an esoteric store somewhere in Asia, he made jewelry from crystals. Tons of crystals.

I don't really use crystals but I have some bracelets, agate, quartz. Probably a few more later this year.

There's something else though, meteorites. I have a few large iron meteorites. Sometimes I hold them or place them near candles. There's definitely something interesting that I feel from them. I'm not really sure how to describe the effect

Hmm Maybe. A rather weird unique energy that I feel from them. Compared to the others, a much different effect.
The meteorites are 100-200g each, quite big, much bigger than most of the stones sold in the crystal stores. Some people in my family were interested in space memorabilia and everything associated with NASA, badges, lapel pins. I sold most of them but decided to keep the large meteorites.

I heard some cultures used meteorites for both jewelry and weapons. The "divine" metal.

Probably because nickel-iron was stronger than anything else they had at the time

As for myself, I have a very small crystal ball (ooer) and a small, highly polished piece of obsidian. I've tried scrying, but I'm no good at it, so both are more like lucky pieces now.

So I stopped working with semi-precious stones in my practice for a long time. At first, it was due to all the new age stuff that I don't really vibe with. For instance, I don't think a crystal/stone can clear your karmic debt because that's not how karma works. Also, Karma is not a part of my traditions. Then it was the knowledge of all the unethical human rights violations that go into mining a lot of these stones. However i still missed working with my humble collection of stones, and so I did some digging into the traditional virtues of stones. I found a few really good Labidaries that talk about their occult uses. so now as a Folk Witch, my partice is deeply Animist, so i work with stones the same way i work with plant spirits. I acknowledge the stone's spirit and communicate with it. I tell it what i need from it, after spending time in communion with it.
