Hi, I am Myskia. Not new to the forums or the occult, but a chronic lurker, so just making a mini intro to come outside of my comfort zone.
I’m interested in all things surrounding magick of the moon, sea or the night, but I have explored paths such as (Neo) Wicca, Thelema, Traditional Witchcraft and more recently, looking into Norse Paganism - I found Seed of Yggdrasil by Maria Kvilhaug to be a very intriguing reinterpretation of the mythology and the accompanying youtube videos were helpful as well.
At the moment, I am still working on my spiritual path attuning it to something that both works but also resonates. I’m pretty avoidant of labels to be honest.
I have also explored Taoism and Welsh Paganism so these subjects are the ones I’m able to recommend things about the most.
As of late, I am exploring Druidry, Theistic Satanism and Luciferianism. I would say my current beliefs align with bioregional animism.
I’m interested in exploring things outside of my own personal frameworks and other beliefs as well such as the SASS witches framework as I see its always beneficial to balance the occult with science.
I feel there is a source of truth in every path but the individual will always put a unique twist or angle that works for themselves, therefore making every spiritual path individualised though there may be a standard hypothesis for how a practice works overall.
I think my main disagreements in spiritual communities stem from the forcing of beliefs or frameworks upon others, carrying religious trauma into their new practices masking it as an inherent part of a practice or spreading misinformation just because they disagree with a practice/lack of their own research.
I truly believe there is a lot to learn by being open minded and respectful since the occult space is so diverse with a myriad of ways to approach magick. I hope to be more active and engage with the forums more.
