I'm curious about people's experiences with invocation vs evocation. Most of my practice has been invocatory and non-dual--- calling on divinity or divine beings that aren't really separate, and tends to be more transformative of consciousness and revelatory (more like removing a veil). This feels similar to me across traditions IME and seems to align with this forum's RHP. This type of practice can have "real world" effects, but more along the line of managing favorable synchronicities.

I have dabbled a little in evocation in the past, and it manifested more physically, specifically with objects moving on their own and bangs/snaps manifesting in walls. These stopped when I stopped the evocations and don't otherwise manifest. It seemed more LHP, even thought the spirits I was supposedly working with (planetary) weren't supposed to be LHP-type spirits AFAIK. I didn't trust them and had negative intuition about it so I stopped the practices. It feels a bit like pulling something into the physical rather than removing a veil.

I am curious about how other people have experienced these. I have been finding similar patterns reported by others.

There is no fundamental difference between invocation and evocation, except the frame of reference. Invocation is calling into, evocation is calling into the space around you.

Because the within and without are reflections of each other, there is no functional difference between the two, and it's just a matter of personal preference. Do you prefer to work with powers as a vessel channeling the powers, or do you prefer to work with powers a step removed as if you were apart from them? At the end of the day you're still working with those powers and being influenced by them.

And because All is the Mind, technically those powers are part of yourself, and you're just really good at unconsciously compartmentalizing things.
