I took a small hiatus from WF to get some things in order and I’m happy to announce that my life has changed drastically and I’ve come to some realizations after much contemplation and seeking.

1) I quit smoking, for me this is huge, I was a heavy smoker for over 20 years and in about a weeks time I not only quit but I can easily be around others that smoke and not have the urge to do so even on stressful days.
In the first 2-3 days if I even touched a cigarette I felt a burning sensation in my throat, after those days I was able to breathe better and it turns out I actually like breathing, who knew? Lol

2) under the adhd thread I mentioned I did take meds for adhd albeit a very low dose and I no longer take them either. I doubt I ever had adhd I was just diagnosed as such when I was younger. I found out where that stemmed from and after coming to the realization that it was an issue with my upbringing and traits I picked up rather than how I am naturally. My thoughts have become more clear, I am less impulsive and my mind and body are more aligned.

3) I was born with an issue with my spine that was exasperated through injuries of falling from a ladder while I was doing work in a ceiling, I was able to realign the issue through intensive stretching and through working out my legs, back and abs it has stayed in place, which has also relieved shoulder and neck pain, it was extremely hard to stand straight and now it’s second nature as it always should have been.

4) it feels like the first time in nearly a decade I’m able to relax other than when I’m meditating or focusing on magical workings, I feel way more at ease. No longer on edge, I’d say this was due to not taking adhd meds but I’ve been off them before and still was never as calm as I feel. I contribute this to not smoking as well as not taking any meds as a crutch.

5) I haven’t been suicidal however after some things that happened a while back I had a habit of being very reckless and all the aforementioned things have contributed to me being more mindful.

6) Even though my external circumstances in life have not changed, my inner spirit feels like I’m a different person. When I look in the mirror it’s hard for me to even recognize the person in the best of ways. I see how relaxed I am in my face and posture.

7) I am now walking correctly, I was bedridden a while back and when I began to walk again with my spine issue and muscle atrophy it had me walking in an odd way, I was nearly walking toe to heel instead of heel to toe. Which.. in the woods makes for quieter footsteps and being more agile but at the cost of my body always feeling tensed up.

8) I have found meaning in life in the small things, I was treating life is if it was a test I knew I would pass but now it feels as though I am putting in the work in a way that is conducive for growth.
building a strong foundation as it were.

9) in social situations I actually feel comfortable where as before I was an introvert to a high degree. Nature was my home and people were just miserable to be around. I still am an introvert but I find people less repulsive to be around, dare ai say, they are even tolerable lol.

10) I realized that despite always being led to believe I wasn’t enough by own family, after spending time with them I noticed they are the ones with the issues, in a way you do inherit the sins of your parents, the sins being the programs they have lead you to believe are true about yourself when it comes from their own deficiencies. Sometimes it is subtle, sometimes it is subconsciously and in some cases it is very blatant. Some people no matter what want to believe that everyone but themselves are the issue. I thought that was the problem with me, I thought It must be me and I should take responsibility. But no, I had it wrong, they never took responsibility for never being a strong foundation, I take responsibility for my own life and it is my fault I let them drag me down, a mistake that will never happen again nor will I let this mindset echo in relationships I build with others.

Lastly - I want to thank everyone on this site that helps contribute and who have asked and continue to ask thought provoking questions. Even if you think it may be a dumb question, we all start somewhere. This site can help you build a strong foundation in your practice and by asking questions it helps others reinforce our own understanding so keep asking, keep seeking and keep improving. The world is yours for the taking, so take it.
The world will work with you if you work with it, the Gods and Goddesses help those who help themselves and your Higher self, HGA, your ancestors the very Earth and Sky are here to guide you. They will work with you if you allow them to.

Congrats yourself! Any method you use or just sheer willpower? I used a meditation technique I did before that I noticed helped purge the desire and got the throat burning sensation and then those Riccola lemon drop things came in clutch. 😂
