I create my own reality.
The rest is just details.

The new book by Pete Snyder now available as free download for Amazon Kindle until 23rd June.

I do it, you do it, everyone does it. We all create our own reality. What we see and experience around us is a reflection of what’s inside us. Most people create their reality unconsciously, they drift through life and experience it as a series of external events they feel powerless against.

But every person can consciously shape their own reality. You just have to know what to do — and then start practicing. Over and over again.

I’m going to tell you my story. A story full of pain, incredible experiences, and miracles. I’ve learned (and I’m still learning) how to create my own reality. And I’ll share what you can do to shape your reality according to your own wishes.

Are you trying to plug your book here or what? All you said that it's available now and then copypasta'd the amazon description. This is no way to start a discussion, it's not even creative spamming, just laziness.

In the past couple of years I went through a huge change process. I had to deal with a lot of personal issues, lost my job, my health etc. What helped me during this time was my meditation practice. As I progressed with that, I came across the Seth material by Jane Roberts. I studied every single one of those books and I practiced what was written there.
We create our own reality, not just metaphorically, it's literally.
It does involve a lot of work. Work on yourself, your thoughts, your beliefs. You will never be done, you will always continue to learn and to practice.
But it does work. We create our own reality. Literally. You just need to understand how this stuff works and then you need to learn and to practice.
I've written my story down in this book. I have included exercises along the way that everybody can easily follow. I have explained Seth's main message as plain and simple as I could.
You can believe it or not, you can laugh about it or not, it doesn't change a thing for me.
I create my own reality, so do you and everybody else.
The question is only whether you do it consciously or not.
Sorry about the short description earlier.
If I had read that myself years back, I wouldn't have hesitated a second to get that books.
I assume, not everybody gets as excited about the stuff like I do.... :)

You haven’t answered the question. Are you here to simply shill your book?

I am here and also in some other forums to talk. Talk about the main message in my book (or in the Seth material, if you will). We create our own reality, not just metaphorically, but literally.
I‘m surprised that nobody has jumped up on that yet….
We all create our own reality, whether we do it consciously or not. We do this individually and en masse as a species. The good thing is, everybody is equipped with the abilities to learn how to do this.
Some time back, people would have called this ‚magic‘, hence that’s why I think I landed here in this forum.
Forgive me if this is not the right platform to discuss matters like this….just let me know if not and I‘ll disappear :)

IMO, we don't create it; we end up selecting our paths from all the possible paths. These paths already exist, 'past' and 'future', but we are inside them, so we are only capable of seeing one section of one path at one time.

I find it hard enough to write a short story. Creating entire realities is a bit beyond me.

You are spot-on. All possible outcomes for your life and everybody else’s already exist. They exist because every time we make a decision in life, we create multiple new universes, one for each other decision we could have taken. Those universes exist in parallel, also with a ‚you‘ inside it. ‚You‘ with its own free will and its own decisions.

We only experience one reality at a time, we pick the one we want to experience from the multitude of experiences that exist. We do this individually and as a species. How do we do that? Our choices are governed by our beliefs, our core beliefs, the obvious ones and the unconscious ones. Our choices are also governed by our thoughts and emotions. Use the right methods and control your thoughts, beliefs and emotions and you can experience the reality you desire.

I guess, way back people used to call this ‚magic‘, but it is simply how reality works.
All this happens seamlessly, we experience reality as a series of events, we don’t notice the multitude of choices in our daily lives, yet we all live along what we choose with our beliefs, thoughts and emotions.
In a wider sense, we create everything in our world that we live in. We create everything with our senses. I create the table I am sitting at right now, but it‘s only my version of the table. My wife creates her own version, which is ever so slightly different from mine, as she has a different belief framework. At the end of the day, the solid table is only a form of energy which we perceive as matter.
If we didn’t have any senses, the physical world would not exist for us. If a tree fell in the forest and nobody was there to hear it….it wouldn’t make any sound. Same applies to all other senses we are equipped with.
Actually, the whole things is quite awesome and I love playing with my beliefs and emotions. So, far, I haven’t been disappointed, I live in the reality I choose to have and I will continue to do so.

It‘s all a game, it‘s all happening inside you and every human being is equipped with the right tools to choose their own reality. It just needs some work…which can be a bit unpleasant sometimes.
…but it‚s worth it, that’s all I can tell you :)

ok, slight misunderstanding. We don't create the universes; all the possible outcomes are already there. We navigate amongst them, based on our choices and how we are entangled with everyone else. Free will ('could I have chosen otherwise?') comes from the fact that although the complete set of all timelines is deterministic, each of your individual paths through that set of timelines is not. Like the weather; deterministic, but utterly unpredictable over more than a certain period of time. And for human beings, that period of time can be extremely short indeed.

Magic comes from, as you say, the fact that our choices that lead to a particular path can be purely internal. Most people don't experience this 'edge case' of consciousness because we are normally entangled with everyone else we come into contact with. This is why we (mostly) experience the same things as other people. Also why magicians normally do their work alone, and are told to 'keep silent' because actual magic can be very delicate - anyone can interfere with a working just by knowing about it before it's finished.

This is why I refer to magic as the engineering of coincidence. Or indeed 'being lucky on purpose' :D

I like the ‚being lucky on purpose‘…well said :)
Indeed, when I work on my probable outcomes, I do this alone. I do this when I sense the time is right to add my emotions and intentions into the universe. It works, it really works, but most people just laugh at it. In earlier years I made the mistake of throwing it all overboard again when the results didn’t come within the time span I expected them to come. Patience is sometimes the hardest thing to learn…lol :)
Have you read the Seth material as written down by Jane Roberts?
Seth teaches we do indeed create multiple universes with every decision we take and our thoughts and emotions have the inherent ability to become matter. So, all possible outcomes are there because we created them. And they are ALREADY there for us to choose from because everything happens in one giant moment…time is just an illusion.
If you go further with that stuff, you‘ll learn that you can influence your own personal past and future, which in turn has an effect on your present.
It‘s pretty mind-blowing stuff Seth talks about, but his books are the most amazing books I have ever read….

I never read any of the Seth stuff; I've investigated physics for thirty years instead :)

You can't both create the universes and have them there already created to choose from. The 'creation' version is the standard version of the Multiple Worlds Interpretation of quantum physics, which has problems. These problems can be solved by including the spacetime geometry of Einstein and Minkowski, which has been extensively confirmed by experiment. Spacetime is normally seen as a block universe, but special relativity is classical. I felt the easiest way of including quantum physics was to have many, many spacetime block universes forming the tree structure that we associate with the "past" structure of the multiple universes, only for the entire multiverse from 'beginning' to 'end'.

I caution you to remember that time (the dimension) and the passage of time are two different things. Something philosophers don't seem to have got their heads round yet :p

As you say, the passage of time is an illusion, but I remind you that 'illusion' does not mean 'imaginary', it means 'not what I thought it was'. Again, we experience the passage of time because we are inside the set of timelines. From outside, the multiverse would look like an enormous mind-boggling crystal of some kind, containing every possible path and combination of paths.

Our thoughts and beliefs do not become matter; they influence which configuration of matter we experience. And yes, you can affect your past, but I don't recommend it because it means rewiring your own memories; you may just end up having had an experience that everyone else will consider a delusion. As Grant Morrison put it: "no matter how many gods you talk to, no matter how many fluorescent realms you visit, you still have to come home, take a shit, be able to cook dinner, water the plants and, most importantly, talk to people without scaring them."

Oh wow, you‘re into physics.
Cool, I was always wondering what a person who understands physics would say about the Seth stuff. Because he gets a lot into (what I would call) quantum or metaphysics. He explains it in analogies so that somebody like me would understand the gist…but no further than that. I just re-read something about coordination points between all possible realities, absolute and subordinate. Point highly charged with energy. He was mentioning that our scientists would discover ever so small variations in gravity around these points in our 3D-world If they searched for it. I was always wondering whether stuff like that would mean something to a physics pro.
I can’t discuss with what you are saying above, I lack the background for that. A lot of the stuff Seth is saying I just register and I work with what works for me. I find that sometimes during meditations I have the most fantastic experiences. When I later read some stuff in the Seth books just by chance, I often find descriptions for what I have felt.
Yeah, I agree, we all need to master our daily life. I see all this stuff as an enrichment to my life and I quite enjoy playing with it :)

OK, maybe I should read the Seth stuff and see what it's about.

The key thing I have found is that "you do not change the world, you experience the version of the world where the change is present"

Bit unwieldy for a T-shirt, but there you are :)

….gotta think about designing that t-Shirt :D
If you get around to read, I‘d start with ‚The nature of personal reality‘ or ‚Seth speaks‘.
They should all be available as electronic versions. Some of the printed issues are only a available in second-hand Stores in the farthest corners of the world. I think I actually got an original from the Seventies from a book store in Texas.
Black, worn hardcover and that old-style lettering on old paper.
Looks truly ‚occult‘…lol :D
If you ever get around to read some of it and this thread still exists, maybe let me know what you think of his stuff.
Take care,
Pete

ok, bought "Seth Speaks" - it only cost a few quid on Kindle. I shall see.

I know exactly why the first impulse upon discovering this stuff is to say "we create reality" - but then if I've learned one thing, when it comes to physics, human intuition about how things work isn't worth a pitcher of warm spit :)
