I’ve mentioned this a few tIke’s in posts but never wrote a thread on it.
If you suffer from ptsd or even just have a nagging memory as an over thinker there is a really unique way to move past it.
sit down in a quiet area, relive the experience with your eyes closed, if it’s ptsd related this can be rough but the pay off is worth it.
the smell your surrounding be in the moment, as the part that’s traumatic comes of up with your eyes closed keep reliving the experience but swiftly move your eyes left to right as you move on past the trauma, seriosus cases this may take 19 times, for minor things as litt as one.
i cannot overestimate how much this has helped me and I hope it helps others as well. The power of lateral eye movements… who’d a thunk it? whoever it was, they are a genius.

You can check EMDR it's about rapid eye movement where the therapist moves the hand fast from side to side. Sorts the brain out.

This is a very nice idea, however asking someone with PTSD to sit and relive their trauma in meditation is a huge ask, typically it results in flashbacks and body-flashbacks, accompanied by panics and an overall ruined mood for some time. For me, just thinking about the events or things linked to them would tailspin me for hours.

EMDR is a good therapy, personally I found it a little impersonal, and I wouldn't dare to call it a cure, personally I fuck more with Gestalt therapy, which makes grounding & awareness skills it's centerpiece.

Psychedelic Psychotherapy, on the other hand, that has reports of actually curing veteran-level PTSD in a single sitting, which is really miraculous. Altering a person's habitual thought-patterns, stimulating neuroplasticity, and blasting off into an objective, cosmic view will put your slice of time in Hell into a manageable perspective.

Yeah I mentioned it can be rough I should have added “use at your own discretion.” Thank you for posting alternatives! And psychedelic therapy is extremely interesting such as people who have cured alcoholism with ayuhuasca (The comedian Ron White talks about this)

I've had good results using the Havening Technique. There's plenty of YouTube vids on it.

i some times "stumble" upon books or items that seem like gifts from the divine, and interestingly i came across a really bad ass old book about yoga and i was just looking at it for the first time in awhile since i found it and the first or second in the book, in order of what practice you should begin with, was one where you move your eyes around and point them away and towards eachother.... hmmm i sense a clue, thank you

my first thought is - what if its C ptsd, or not related to one specific incident?? --- i answered my question while writing that... i suppose you just start with one that comes to mind and take it from there. Thank you again :)

as someone who has extreme CPTSD psychedelic therapy was the only thing that helped. I know that it was other life circumstances at well, it seems inevitable that my path was to heal, but i feel like i never would have been able to get off fentanyl if i hadnt had the opportunity to smoke DMT when i was detoxing, and that experience seemingly triggered a total shift in reality for me spiritually, basically what some would call reborn
