[Site Announcement] Purging unconfirmed and banned accounts.

Sometime soon I will be purging (deleting) accounts that are over a week old and have not completed email confirmation. I will also be purging perma-banned accounts. Mostly just to free up usernames and a little bit of database space.

In the future I may also consider purging accounts that have 0 posts and haven't logged in for some time, but there may be some unwanted consequences from before the 5 posts requirement to PM was implemented (some old PMs with 0 post accounts may be affected).

He was entertaining and better read than many presumed (though, admittedly, in some niche areas, even for me)...

Sorry, I should have clarified. When I said I’d purge banned accounts I meant those that have been spam cleaned (spambots who had all their posts deleted and accounts banned)

I will not delete any accounts that have actual content posted on the forum so as not to damage thread continuity and post histories (I don’t want posts attached to “Deleted Account #392” etc).

I may have some kind of amnesty day where people can vote for some member to be unbanned, but it’s unlikely to happen any time soon. Xeno had plenty of chances.
