Hey folks. I'll copy and paste the introduction for this I used in the thread it was first mentioned in, and then get to the Table of Contents so you can skip around as you like (or don't).
Description: Remember my "Espew Rettei" thread for older folks? I learned quite a bit about that. Theory of words and their magical connection, in addition to the creation enns and calls with the help of the genius or other spirits. Speak or think the words, another concept which is examined.
Note: it is apparently mandatory that I place here that you will need to believe in yourself and the material in order for it to work. Don't think things happen automatically. I also use the terms "plane", "echelon of existence", "level of existence", and "density" as synonyms.
If you don't understand something, let me know and I'll try to help you. It can be quite complex sometimes. This was originally going to be much longer and more intricate but that would have been needlessly complex background information, I'm sure people here are smart enough to use this material without needing the extensive background work (there were originally nine sections and they were much longer than this).
A "P" means it is mostly practical, and an "I" means it is mostly information.

VIE
I'll take each piece of the acronym apart and go into detail about it before examining this as one cohesive principle.
V- VIBRATION: If you study Enochian, you may know that vibrations play a big part in the language itself and how the language is used, even by the angels themselves. I dug a little deeper into the vibrations and discovered some very curious things. For instance, the vibrational level of an entity, whether low or high, can not only be emitted by human beings through humming or acoustic technology in order to become more like the entity. But it goes deeper than this. As I've come to understand it, the sum is greater than the parts- or, in other words, the parts of a spirit do not contribute to its vibration, and neither do its subordinates. Superiors have a hand in this but subordinate spirits and the composition of spirits have no effect on the vibration of a spirit.
As to why a spirit vibrates at a certain level, that's where the superior comes in. When a spirit is created, it is generally given a purpose: not what it rules over but what it is supposed to do with the resources given to it. If an entity is designed to be a devourer, a torturer, or a destroyer, generally speaking that vibration is low and feels kind of cold. There are some which don't feel like this but that is for a reason I am not permitted to get into. The confusion doesn't stop there, however.
There are certain functions which require a spirit to be able to shift vibrations, or to have both extreme ends (very slow and very fast) at once. How does this happen? The answer is simple but very complex in its execution.
An entity may be vibrationally fluid by shifting the qualities it has in this reality. In other words, it is literally becoming a version of itself from a different reality in order to shift its vibration consciously. These traits don't disappear, they're merely "switched" to a different reality's version of the spirit that has the desired traits. The mechanics behind inter-reality communication is something I will not speak about, if you're the type of creature this information is here for you'll know what I'm talking about, otherwise you can figure that out for yourself with a little digging.
An entity that is vibrating at both extremely high and extremely low speeds is one that has, in my opinion, beautiful craftsmanship, because these types of entities are harder to produce than ones that are vibrationally fluid. If something is vibrating at high and low speeds at the same time, that means there is more than one of it present, but unless the entity is amazingly fucking powerful (I'm not talking about known gods, talking about less mainstream creatures), the merging of all existing variations of the entity is unlikely but possible. The more plausible explanation is that in the process of creation, the entity (either accidentally, as spirits do make mistakes, or intentionally)'s Shadow (or antithesis) merged with it. The reason I mention the merging being unlikely is because multiple consciousnesses being imbued into one body like that doesn't usually work. These nondual accidental entities are rarer than you would expect, because it is the equivalent of eating your twin in the womb. The winning entity stole the antithesis' attributes and strengths. Sometimes, however, this is desired, and so an entity is given a weakened Shadow to consume as it is created. What is the result of this elaborate creation? The answer means a lot more than you probably think it does: the entity is, effectively, a sorcerer. It is both hands of the path as one.
But that's information about entities you probably won't use, there is a special kind of mage I left that information there for and you know who you are.
How does vibration play into words, though? Since words are what this post is and about.
The answer is that vibration dictates the type of effect a word will have. The lower the vibration the more destructive, the higher the vibration the more productive. There's nothing "good and evil" about this, just two sides of the same coin- subtracting or adding. I can't exactly provide proofs for this without sounding like a complete nutter because I don't understand how to explain the magic behind it, only that the same principles that apply to vibration in entities apply to vibration in words, and that entities and words are related in more ways than one, and that is why names are so important.
I- INTENT: You don't exactly pick up a knife and say "I'm going to go relieve X's back pain with this!" If you do, you should probably stop taking so many drugs, they're fucking with you. Anyway, intention is important in words the same way it is in spells. You don't cast a healing spell for someone you don't like without having that dislike present in some inkling, unless you're effective in getting rid of that. The same principles that govern intent in spells govern intent in words. I'll give you the best example I know, why passive aggressiveness is a thing. On this planet it doesn't matter what you say but how you say it, on a mundane level this is why "reading between the lines" is a thing. This is an echelon of existence rife with lies and unclear meaning. Unrefined intent during communication is the cause of a myriad of unwanted, from awkwardness in a conversation to wars. Learning to portray one's intent through words is an art, if you want my opinion. But again I'm getting off track.
On a physical level, it isn't what you write or say but what you mean. This, in my travels at least, seems to disappear on travels out of the body. Communication happens through intent, and intent forms words, which the entity can then understand. Some don't communicate like this though, but we'll be focusing on this specific kind of entity, the one that communicates through words. So, to diagram successful communication:
Contact
|
|
|
Communication, formation of intent of contact.
|
|
|
Intent of contact is translated to words through a process I don't understand yet.
|
|
|
These words are translated by the spirit's faculties into a language it understands, response is given.
|
|
|
Response is translated by sorcerer's faculties into an understood language.
Does this make sense now?
E- ENERGY: It is rare that the amount of energy contained in words will matter in terms of communication. The only circumstance I can see it mattering in is if there is some sort of block in communications, if they're being obstructed by another sentience or there are other factors in play. Most individuals won't come into contact with entities that they don't understand how to speak to (or they will know the superior of), if you do though feel free to mention it and I'll make a tutorial for that. Energy matters in words if you intend to use them as sorcery, and that is the whole point of this big block of knowledge. By imbuing one's words with energy (think energy manipulation into the form of the words themselves, which will be discussed in section 4), you can have them act as spells. Think about it like this:
The word "ball" doesn't have any specialty to it on the base level. Sure most people get uncomfortable with it when you bring it up at the dinner table, but ball is a word. This entire post has been words. None of them have any particular energy behind them, though I'm trying to get this information across as easily as I can (read: utilizing intention). But in the hands of someone who knows how to make the most out of their life, they know how to use words. And in a magical context, "ball" isn't special anyway. So how do we make it special? How do we turn "ball" into a spell to do just that?
Let's go over a brief portion of the energetics of how we would turn "ball" into a death sentence, because I don't feel like making this unnecessarily huge. We first begin with the word itself. Say it aloud, pronounce it however you want but know what you mean. Know that however silly you pronounce the word, you know it means to end someone's life. You have to now see this as an empty "shell" in front of you that appears when you say the word. This is the word's energetic appearance, and notice that if you just say the word, the form blinks into and out of existence rather quickly. So what the hell just happened? You didn't solidify it. When you've strengthened the existence of Ball as energy, you can now begin empowering it. When you reach a point where it is ready to be shot off, you can program into a target and tell the newly created thoughtform, from your own word, to attract wealth or spheres or something. When you send it off like a bullet and close everything related to it down, you have basically just casted a death curse.
It is that simple.
So, when someone wants to send off a word to do something, they add intention and energy to it (which will be covered later) and the vibration slows or speeds up accordingly. Make sense?
An Enn and a Call
Let me first say that an enn will be defined for the purposes of this teaching as "a string of words that is chanted in a loop to a specific entity", and that a call will be defined as "a string of words spoken once to bring about effect".
Enn: Lirach tasa vefa wehlc Belial
Call: Ol sonf vorsg, goho Iad balt, lansh calz vonpho: sobra z-ol ror i ta Nazpad Graa ta Malprg Ds hol-q Qaa nothoa zimz Od commah ta nobloh zien: Soba thil gnonp prge aldi Od vrbs oboleh grsam Casarm ohorela caba pir Od zonrensg cab erm Iadnah Pilah farzm zurza adna Ds gono Iadpil Ds hom Od toh Soba Ipam lu Ipamis Ds loholo vep zomd Poamal Od bogpa aai ta piap piamo-i od vaoan ZACARe c-a od ZAMRAM Odo cicle Qaa Zorge, Lap zirdo Noco MAD Hoath Iaida.
In case you didn't notice, the latter one is in Enochian.
So, what's the difference here? Well aside from length and the amount of repetitions, there is a difference in intention. The Enn is to connect with a specific entity, kind of like a whisper that you're trying to get into their ear. The call is loud and isn't ashamed to say it, and is a proclamation as opposed to an invitation. That difference here is key, because an invitation is subtle and a proclamation is not so much. The key difference between them appears to be the target audience (one as opposed to many) and the force at which it is to be said. I know a few people who whisper enns, calls not so much.
But let's get to the energetics of the matter. Why are they different on a magical level, and how can you tell what is a call and what is an enn just by viewing it magically?
Whenever I view an enn or a call magically, they appear radically different. An enn appears as a slowly spinning mass of words, and a call appears as a beam of light or darkness that, if you dig deep enough, you can see the words. But they're not obvious, like in the enn. So why the difference? Well, as I said earlier enns are kind of like annoying whispers that you're putting in the entity's ear until it gets off its ass and comes to say hi. The energetic view of this reflects it, with some key differences- as I see it, repetition of an enn is necessary because it builds up a larger mass so that it becomes noticed. In other words, think of it like a text message you're sending a lot of times so that the busy entity finally gets to you.
Calls are something else. Calls have a mystical air about them that in my opinion enns simply don't have, there is something innately magical about them that makes one wonder at what they hell they are and what they hell they do. And there's a good reason for that, and that is because calls appear to be innately inhuman- no matter what language they are in, or the source (though nonhuman sources appear to work better than human sources, at least in my experience), they are tapping into something deeper regarding their construction and execution. But what is this? And why does a call only need to be said once?
As I understand it, calls only need to be said once because they're not a whisper, they're a shout. They are direct links through their pronunciation and construction, intention less so, to the very fabric of the universe itself. Calls don't tap the power of an entity, they tap the power of this entire reality, with a more specific function in mind to be taken from the call, which acts as a bridge to that general vicinity of the universe. If enns travel to the entity's ear as a whisper, calls are shouts which literally create bridges to where they are set to go. Granted an enn can be a little more fluid in its construction than a call because in the latter, the room for mistakes is much less.
So how can you use this? With more intimate knowledge regarding these avenues of communication, what can you use it for? Well, this means a few things for you. One, if you're proficient enough you can create an enn at the required density and send it to the spirit (who it is naturally attracted to by the insertion of the spirit's name) by reciting it once or even not at all. Two, you can learn to create the bridges calls make without having to actually recite them. Three, you can alter the way enns and calls work on a target of yours if you are engaged in some sort of magical warfare: if they like to summon demons, and, well, their enns keeping getting intercepted, bad things could happen to them. The same goes for Enochian mages and calls.
Which brings me to my next part.
Creating Enns and Calls
Note: You should talk to spirits you know before you try to construct an enn or a call with them. See if you can get advice or even calls/enns themselves, which would rend this part of the paper rather useless unless you need a different target.
Now we're going to talk about something that's probably blasphemous to someone here, maybe someone reading this: the creation of enns and calls, made by you. I know some people don't like traditional or cultural appropriation, well, if that is the case and you're touchy about creating your own sacred tools, then you can skip this section.
For those of us that like creating our own tools, welcome. Anyway, the note at the beginning of this section covers what I feel like should be any loose ends regarding the topic.
If you're trying to make an enn for a specific enn(ha)tity, use one known or don't use one and get in contact with it. Ask it for a new one if you don't feel comfortable with the original. That would be the thought process of someone who didn't want to make their own to try and get in touch with the entity.
But now we know how enns work magically. They're whispers on the wind, and we can replicate that. The answer is to forge it in a manner that it is between a call and an enn, so that instead of it being a whisper we're shouting at the entity. Execution determines attitude, choose wisely regarding this. So, going back to what we know on the differences of enns and calls on a physical level, we know that calls are supposed to be said once and are usually paragraphs and enns are repetitions of a few words. You can fudge the lines of enn and call in a very simple way: lean more on one side than the other.
What do I mean by this?
I mean that either choose to make the enn more than a few lines but less than a paragraph, with a more direct tone (you can say them in low or high tones based on the entity you're trying to interact with) with less repetitions, or make the call shorter and with slightly more repetitions. So instead of saying an enn ten times and a call once, say a four word longer enn six times and a call half the length three times. Make sense?
Then the energetics comes into play. Depending on how you see enns and calls being produced, a combination is in order. People see different things so I'm not going to say you have to force anything, I will however say that when I'm trying to make an enn more like a call I'll replace the "slowly rotating football of words" with a "slowly rotating beam of words to the entity", and if I'm trying to make a call more like an enn I'll replace the beam with the football shape but keep the words on the inside.
I've also noticed that specific words you use don't matter in the call OR the enn so long as your conscious mind does not try to create them. I know this sounds silly and contradicts what I said earlier in some views and cases but this is simply what I see and what I work with, I don't pretend to know the logic operating behind this but this does exist and I don't know why, only that it does.
I don't know why yet, anyway.
The Thought-Sound Connection
People don't acknowledge thoughtforms enough. Not only are they magical tools that literally any sorcerer can use, but all members of our species produce them and that is a gateway in more way than one. This section has a lot to do with thoughtforms, in case you didn't pick that up.
So, let's first talk about what a thoughtform is, for those of that don't know. A thoughtform is basically what happens when you think. For instance, concentrate on the image of a juicy steak for a few seconds. You just made a very weak, dissipating thoughtform. As for why thoughtforms are a thing I don't know yet, and the exact method of their production is something I do not quite understand, but let us operate under the assumption that they exist and that they work and can be used to magical effect.
If we take a look at a thoughtform on a magical level, we can see that it kind of looks like a bubble in a person's aura or bodies. Some of these move slightly outward, and if one "wishes really hard" they can move it outside to do things. That is, of course, referring to non-practitioners.
"But wait," some of you are saying, "isn't that like what we did with the word 'ball'?" The answer is yes, and there's a good reason for that. It is, to my knowledge, that the equivalent of thoughtforms on different echelons of existence make up less solid aspects of physical life: fields of study, communication, ethics- all things that you can't exactly touch. Of course you can touch radios and televisions and computers but you can't lay your hands on the concept of communication. That is the best comparison I have to what thoughtforms are on different levels of existence.
You know what else you can't exactly touch? Sound. The concept of language. But those things tangibly exist on nonphysical levels of existence, so what's going on? Why the difference between planes? The answer is that we're, by our composition, too dense to physically interact with concepts. Words are also concepts and words can also become thoughtforms by associating the word with a result or intent, and adding energy and solidifying it. Then you have a particularly dense instance of the word in question.
But why can words be said and words be thought? The answer is a matter of translation. The primary method of communication differs with the echelon of existence you're currently in, sound is this one's and thought is the main one in at least three different densities that I know of. The action of speaking on the physical plane is the same thing as thinking on a nonphysical plane.
Now let's talk about imbuing energy into words. This is often called "charging a thoughtform" for something on a less dense reality, but we want something we can do here and we can do now. So we need to learn how to apply magic to our physical words for whatever effects we so choose.
Let's start with the word "Orange". Say it. See the flickering thoughtform of the word in front of you. Notice the disappearance after you're done thinking about/saying the word. Now let's begin to try and give this instance of the word a presence to make it something more than wasted energy. Focus on the thought of "orange". What does it make you think of, the color or the fruit? Keep that image in your mind. Feel the color, think of it, do whatever it is you need to do to solidify the feeling of "orange". Now, push energy into it. If you don't know how to push energy into things, you can find things on this forum. In addition to adding energy, you'll have to give an intent to sending off orange. How do you add intent? Simple:
When interacting with the thoughtform, create a link between it and one of your eyes. See this as a tunnel of light, and begin formulating the intent for sending off "orange". What do you want it to do? Visualize your intention completed and then pull it down into the beam, which transfers it to the thoughtform. Seal the vision by visualizing it as closed, and then send it to the target.
But that's just one instance of the word, we want to have the word trigger something permanently. How do we do that? Well, the answer is that when we send off the thoughtform, we don't actually activate it. What do I mean by this? I mean that we instead send it inside of us, and through willpower we connect the word to the desired result, this could also be useful for work you're doing on yourself. But if you want a word to be permanently baneful you should probably just shield it when you put it inside of yourself.
So, let's compare what happens when a word is "registered" and another is unregistered. Word A, if you magically watch the occurrence, flicks on and off in the aura of the being and then dissipates. Nothing really comes of it. Word B, the one that is stored, however, either appears to emit a glow inside the being or a strange, glowing shape with the same colors as the aura (usually a sphere but I've seen much weirder, including hyperspheres and that's a mindfuck) shoot out at fast speeds. The more you use the word, the more the spell is strengthened.
---
So yeah, this is what I have learned about words in magic, especially their energetics. Thoughts? I understand that this isn't exactly the easiest stuff to try and understand when you've been "raised" in a certain paradigm, sometimes literally, but I'm just reporting on my findings. Do you agree, disagree? I'm curious to see if anything anyone has done resembles this or supports these findings. The worst that happens is that people don't like it, but you may find some use here. If you do, good. I'm happy to help.
Good luck on your travels, sorcerer.
