What is now called Pancake Day is a great untruth. The festivities before the Great Lent preceding Easter are a forced, crooked, like any half-truth, attempt to combine ancient paganism and Christianity.
Back in the fifteenth century, in accordance with their natural calendar, the Slavs celebrated the coming of Spring on the day of the Vernal Equinox. According to the new style, this time falls on March 20-21. When the sun rises high enough to peek through the small window of a wooden hut, it is time for the pagan Maslenitsa.
This was the real Maslenitsa, the Slavic celebration of the meeting of the Spring Sun. It was celebrated many, many, many times. From century to century it was from the moment of the Equinox that people considered spring to have entered its rights. The holiday counted Solar Kolovorot, the day when the Mother of raw Earth woke up, when the young and fiery Yarilo-Sun descended to her, was a real Slavic holiday of Spring. It is the day when some Gods came to the world of Yav, and others left it. Perhaps it is with regret that Morena-Winter leaves us, but such is her fate - to leave the world of men in the spring, to lose her power, to return it to the next winter.
As of today, this year's Shrovetide begins tomorrow and will last a week. The whole week is spent eating pancakes, visiting each other, singing songs, dancing, hanging ribbons on trees, and at the end, burning an effigy! It is believed that the bonfire shows Yarila the way, where to go, and drowns the winter! I have a beautiful ritual that is held on the vernal equinox, and I will share it with you, but later, closer to the date. And now I will tell you about rituals on Shrovetide. Despite the fact that the moon is waning, these days, which have long been energetically saturated with power, knowledgeable people conduct rituals for their benefit. For health, for profit, for luck, for attracting love. In Shrovetide bonfires all bad things are burned, clothes worn by a sick person are burned, gifts to Yarila and Lela, beer, wine, bread, pancakes, everything that is rich in your table are thrown into the fires. And burning the effigy, after this ashes are scattered over the fields, for a rich harvest. And the most steadfast, who read this text to the end, in honor of Shrovetide I give knowledge about such Shrovetide ritual)))). Get up early in the morning in Shrovetide week, bake pancakes, or pancakes, or pancakes. Place a plate of pancakes on your altar, add honey, sour cream, or jam. What you have. Light a candle, and recite glorifications to the Goddess Lela, Yarila, or Veles. Veles is universal, and for beginners he is the most responsive. Ask the chosen God to help you in your work. Then, take the pancakes to the park, to the forest, or under your favorite tree. Put them directly on the ground, do not litter with unnecessary dishes. Thank God and walk away. Let go of the ritual and the Deity with gratitude.

Yes, for sure! I had a quite interesting experience with Veles. A while ago when I experimented with the Slavic system, Veles was one I turned to and a couple of interesting things happened after it. Definitely very responsive!

The first thing that happened, I saw a dream of a man who appeared from smoke, it looked just like how they depict Veles on images. Right after that I found somewhere in a very random place a large silver Slavic sunwheel pendant. There was something else that happened after it but unfortunately I cannot remember that anymore.

wow! it is necessary to think, if Veles not only has come on communication, but also has shown, and has given exact signs, that probably pumping communication with it, you can create strong things. Also, what I would recommend, if you had appeals, but as a result you have called him just like that, have not addressed with the request, and have not treated with gifts, in the next call, I advise to make gifts (at me Veles very responds to kvass, beer, lard, home baking, incense I light in his honor, as well as porridge with a large addition of butter) and then after reading the slogans to address him with the words “Veles, father, accept gifts for past debts” and then voice a new request. And see if he will fulfill your wish. I adore Slavic mythology, I adore working with Slavic Gods. If you need my help in working with them, I am always ready to help you).
