Using pendulums with maps to determine the correct places to look for the things you want...

So I've done this before and had some interesting results. I didn't end up following them, but I did research on the locations I discovered, they were the sites of venues/places that could have led to what I was looking for at the time. Idk though as I've only done this a couple of times and not consistently to have enough experience to know for sure. I'm looking for advice and personal experiences that any of you may have had with this. Have you any of you tried this before and what have your experience been?

But thats reminds me of a thing called dowsing! Maybe someone in that field can clarify a little about this with a physical map ^^

I've never tried doing it in my head but that's a interesting direction to go with it. What I did was print out a map of my local area, with all the a joining cities, and ask a question to the pendulum to see where it would fall. Then I narrowed it did to about 5 or 6 different locations and ask a more detailed question to clarify. After getting narrowing it down to about 3 locations, I looked them up to find they were very popular hotspots for what I was looking for (I won't say what as that's embarrassing lol), but I didn't end up going as they weren't exactly close. It was a very interesting attempt though and I haven't tried anything like that since then.

Might have more luck just going to a local quarry and rock hounding when their not working. Idk what you might find but you might come across some geodes, quartz, or possible some fragments of precious gems. As far for striking it rich I'm not sure searching for mineral wealth is the best way to go about it in this day and age.

You're assuming little wrong.
I was looking for rare gems (moldavite) that are only found in these parts, because they were created by meteorite hit, it's kind of a green glass. There are people making a living here by collecting these and selling them, living on he edge of the law. Police hates them but they know how to deal with police not to get arrested... People here speak about green fever.
I wanted one or few for occult practice. Also no quarries here and would not find these on quarry.

When it comes to quartz, I got one amazing pece I got from local river bank.

I was looking for rare gems (moldavite) that are only found in these parts, because they were created by meteorite hit, it's kind of a green glass. Hmmm.. Hard to believe you can't find any for sale. Might just be the area I live but I've seen them on sale. I had small one a ways back. It was pretty but I'm not really that big a gemstone person so I've never figured how to use it. My favorite gem personally is Carnelian but you don't have as much trouble finding those.

You're right. They are for sale. but Moldavite is not cheap. In the end I found and bought alternative green stone (Chromdiopsid) that I use instead.

Oh that's also very pretty. I think I've seen those in rings and necklaces. I'm not sure what their value is magickally but if it's anything like moldavite then I look forward to hearing about what your able to manifest!

These aren't exactly cheap, but if you saved up, they might be interesting to have or maybe just to get some ideas for how you could wear your manifesting stones. That is if you want to wear them openly looking somewhat fashionable lol.

When it comes to treasure dowsing; dowsers use the item they are hunting on their rods or pendulum.
For example, if you looking for Silver, you would use Silver rods, if you were looking for Quartz, you would use a Quartz Pendulum or Quartz on the end of your rods, & so on & so forth.
If you needed answers to questions you have; you wouldn't use crystals as your body contains the same materials within the minerals & crystals, so dowsers use wood pendulums. That way you get a more accurate reliable answer.

I wouldn't recommend using an unfamiliar divination system unless you aren't picky about fruitless excavation. The main thing you have to do is become an absolute expert in the geology of the thing you are trying to loot. Know all the signs, or else the divination will be total guesswork at some point. There are usually trace minerals or colors to follow, don't just expect to dig in exactly the right spot or know how deep you could reasonably expect the gem encrusted cavities to be. And if you are going to get out a map, map the actual prospective digging sites, places you would actually dig, rather than larger regional maps. An inch of dirt may as well be a mile if you don't dig, and once you dig you are committed, so know what kind of dirt looks good to dig for your particular quarry. If you aren't just poking around, if you actually give some credit to your divination method whatever it is from voices of angels to pendulums or dowsing rods, before you start digging, consider addressing the local presiding spirits and declare what you are doing so they don't try to kill you for taking their stuff.

Oh I am familiar with it. I've gotten books, conducted experiments, did research... I'm not inexperienced. I just don't have alotta experience. Plus I wasn't thinking of looking for treasure or precocious minerals or anything like that. That isn't how I like to make money through magick anyway. I can do my own research and find likely places to do that if I wanted to. Still it's kinda pointless because anything you find is gonna instantly be confiscated by owner of the property, native american tribe, federal, or local government and end up in some dusty museum backroom storage area etc & etc.. Complete waste of time! Better to as you say, appease/consult a local or well-known spirit that presides over buried treasure and... ask if their willing share... Still there's the outside human element you still have to get around.

No, I use pendulums to research locations I should to look to find people and businesses, that might be fortuitous for me to come across. Like say a good place to find someone I would have really good connection and be really happy with. The go to the location and scope things out to see who I come across. With business maybe use the pendulum to identify certain areas that that might have something I need. Then research all the businesses around that location, find any that might qualify, then go in person and visit the site to confirm results. That's my method anyway. I could probably use tarot to narrow down the results as well but I haven't gone that far yet.
