I am about to begin practicing entering the Astral realm and I would like to know what to expect and what are other's experiences diving into a realm such as so. I have heard of Astral Combat as well and wanted to hear any opinions on it as well. I am not very experienced in the Astral since for the past year I have been practicing more practical work such as energy work and forms of shadow work.

Jumping way ahead of yourself here. My advice don’t ask everyone just do it.

*Combat - Any magic you can do normally you can do during an obe/ape. ie learn to banish.

How am I jumping ahead by asking for simple experiences? If you had none to share, then why reply?

Parasites latch on to traumas and so forth. Robert Bruces NEW is good for removing them. Or then just invoke divine energies into yourself with LIRP and LBRP, removes all parasites.

My point about not getting ahead of yourself is AP is an interesting undertaking with results being very subjective and interpretive (and you are just about to “begin practicing” AP). Magick is a very personal pursuit and the more you seek others’ stories, the more your results will be influenced by them. That is rarely helpful for a lot of reasons. I suggested getting proficient with banishing as a means of combat (protecting yourself/removing dangers).

Take the advice or don’t. :)

take care.

I respect you and this response thank you for going deeper into the meaning, I apologize if I came of a certain way but I understand your thinking.

Nah please question me at anytime. My wife often tells me that I respond more pointedly than I intend to and that I tend to skip the explanation far too often.

As far as working magic while AP, the exercises in the Liber KKK appendix were helpful to me. Not a fan of all of the explanations but I found the structure of moving thru sorcery/low magic, shamanic, ritual, astral… helpful.

Senses weren't like they were here, rather than being directional like a flashlight it was circular like a lamp. The environment was vast darkness in all directions, like space, but vibrant, alien, and alive. My own being was an electrical-like light, it was dazzling. The experience in the astral was short, but it filled me with unparalleled bliss and elation for several days afterwards.

There is nothing more galvanizing to your practice than experiencing first-hand a different world and a different mode of being outside of your flesh.

Would you say when we sleep every night that we are entering a realm of realms within the astral or would you say the astral is a higher up dimension like the Over world ?

This is nonsense. When you sleep, your consciousness becomes elastic and thoughts stupidly go on their own tangents that are visualized into stories. There is a world of difference between sitting in meditation for 8 hours, trancing for 8 hours, and simply sleeping for 8 hours. I believe people like to say they "go into the astral" when they sleep so they can sound/feel accomplished while also putting forth no discipline or effort. The experience I had was while in sober, silent Zazen meditation.

The word dimension is also poorly understood. You don't go anywhere else, you're simply closing one set of eyes and opening another. You look around the room with your material eyes, then you close them and look around the same room with your suprasensory eyes to discover an entirely different landscape because you see on a different bandwith beyond physical matter.

Mostly with illusiveowl, I don’t think there a direct link between dreaming and AP/OBE/etc…. That being said, if you really start playing in this sandbox, there can ime (at times) be some overlap. But yeah 99.99999999999% of the time it’s not.

And also like IO said how the seen & unseen worlds (I’ve always liked that phrase) are connected/interact/overlay each other is poorly understood.

There are dreams in astral travelling mode, but they are very, very, very rare. I am 43 now and can remember it just 1 time. The astral world is a different world, dreaming just a biological thing.

The most succesful travels I had were when sitting in a rocking chair, rocking and feeling threads in my hands and just forgetting and letting go the everyday world, not sleeping.... No ointments, no alcohol, no inscence, no substances.

Maybe this may help with your practice Snoop. But mainly, just surrender to The Universe and The Universe will lead you.
When I Astral Projected for the first time. I remember that I surrendered. And, that's why I managed to Astral Project. You have to remember that you are creating your reality. If you think negative, then you will attract negative Spirits. The trick is that everything is you. If you think positive you will attract good Spirits.
