No, quite distinct from the umbrella 'enlightenment' term. It refers to the achievement of immortality through the transmutation into a higher subtle body.

Speaking of which, it also reminded me of Enoch the prophet, which became Archangel Metatron. Using one of the many arrays of bodies, they acquired "higher frequency deity body" and became hosts overseers or explorers of higher frequency realms.

Angels are not former people, but egregores. Theyve been prayed to or utilized for quite a long time and their fervent devotees don't achieve immortality. Those energies do not transmute people in that fashion, it has been shown not to work. So, people do indeed need a special kind of discernment.

It depends on how we define New Age.
I heard so many people dissing it while exhibiting all New Age beliefs, very weird.
Do I believe in a new astrological age? It seems more like a fact than a belief. Will it be an age of peace, love, understanding? Pure delusion
I think manifestation is real for sure, and at an early stage everyone notices rather quickly in their practice that synchronicities happen more and more
Astral projection is real and achievable rather easily, but galactic stuff and light language is… yeah, I’d rather not comment.
