what was the one moment/thing that made you think, ``this is it´´ for you :)
I was dabbling in catholic folk magic at the time and ran into this strange lady at a train station, we got to talking and the topic of religion comes up and it turns out she was into folk magic too but obviously at a much more advanced level than me.
She was very sweet if a little odd, gave me a tiny like jar thing of some sort of oils and herbs in it with wax covering it and told me to look after it. I had insanely good luck for the week after, I still have no idea what she used in it but whatever it is solidified that this is the correct path for me.

I went through a few paths starting out with new age stuff like chakras & reiki etc, then wicca and general paganism, even some light chaos. But when I found Ceremonial Magic, I found myself liking the structure and that it made sense to me. I found myself actually getting good results, especially with the Arbatel and it's my go to comfort zone

When I realised that instead of using it to change the world around me, I could have better results changing me in the world. Internalising instead of externalisng. Suddenly, you see the world moulding to you, only with daily practice do I feel it illuminates me.

Honestly, it was the moment that I realized if I tried to go back, it could not possibly ever be the same again. The only way was forward or stagnation, and stagnation was boring.

I've been in and out, but I will say the one thing that has made me think that it really mattered, it was when I realized some of this was very much going to stay with me and be applicable even when I wasn't all-in on the occult stuff. Putting in the effort into diving into some of this stuff also gave discipline as well, and that helped for a time. Recent health issues made it harder for me to keep intact, but I am getting back, and even now, I still feel part of that has always been with me even when I was away. It's definitely one of those things that when you realize you can't go back, that's when it stays with you. It becomes fundamentally impossible to separate your practice from who you are.

After years of studying astrology I decided to try astrological magic and began to really see results. I tried before that GD ceremonial magic and although I could feel the energy in the rituals the results were lacking.

Yesterday I read the cards for a young woman; since my interpretation was accurate, she got scared, so I didn’t continue with the reading. As a Muslim, she told her friend—who had brought her to me—that I was talking to the jinn. That made me laugh heartily, because such a reaction from a Muslim is very predictable when you know this community. Not that this experience made me realize my divination practice had become serious, but I certainly reached a milestone… the point where my predictions are good and accurate enough to be frightening… next time, I’ll think twice before speaking to find gentler words.

I had been practicing divination for a few years, primarily astrology and tarot as well as just always having a sense for things intuitively that I picked up through the maternal line.

Studying with Austin Coppock as an astrologer, I discovered planetary magic and it became more about the ritual than the tangible results for me. I suppose it was more about the internal transformations I was having and how they were affecting the world around me.

My first working was an elaborate petition to Venus to get my partner the job he wanted (and needed at the time after being made redundant). Perhaps as I’ve always been so loyal to her, she raised the level and offered him that job as well as producing his dream job out of nowhere which he is now in training for.

I don’t often ask for such big favours but when I do, I make sure they are necessary and that I uphold my end of the bargain. They certainly restore faith though.
