[Opinion] I can summon spiders

Hey, apologies if this is in the wrong category and for context I am not really religious, I am sorta spiritual/open to it like I believe tarot cards but I’ve never really looked into anything else.

basically august 2024 I said to my friend as a joke I hope a spider is in your bed when you’re asleep, it happened at 4am. Then in august 2025 I never said anything but I was thinking about it if it happened to my bf (I never said anything) then he said he got a spider in his bed so I asked him what time then he said 4am so I told him what happened to my friend so it sorta became a running joke. Then two days ago my friend annoyed me since I seen a spider so I said to him I hope a spider is in your bed at night and I was sorta wishing, he said that he felt something crawling on his neck but he wasn’t sure what since it was too dark to see, I asked what time it happened and it happened at 4am. Then last night I wasn’t sure if I was thinking of it but my bf said he had 3 spiders in his bed at 4am. I’m just wondering if this actually means anything? It feels like I can sorta summon them lol I’m not entirely sure though and I was wondering if it means anything spiritual? My bf jokingly says I’m magic and I’ve always felt a bit spiritual compared to others like me and my best friend have

Hey sorry for the late reply, I honestly meant to post this ages ago but got distracted I guess. I believe you should try summoning one to you when you don’t see them. Try this a couple times off and on for a week. Also ask your friend if they have spiders harass them in general fairly often. Your friend sounds like they have a spider problem like my cousin… spiders hate her.

I work with spiders and a large spider spirit but before that I was a baby and spiders would constantly crawl into my crib and crawl on me, years later I'm handling spiders all the time and safe around them. After that in New York I had a black shiny spider crawl onto my drawing I was working on so I picked it up and brought it to my mother to show her. That’s when she screamed and slapped it out of my hand. It was a black widow. From that point on, the only spiders that liked me were jumping spiders and crab spiders. I was constantly at war with black widows, brown recluse, wolf spiders, joro spiders and aggressive orb weaver hybrids I’ve only seen in GA.

It was pretty bad. I was constantly having them jump on me in the shower, they would climb on me when I was reading in bed, or they chose to chase me down. Needless to say I was starting to develop a phobia at that point. But one day on my spiritual journey this blue gigantic sparkling spider with blue and purple twinkling stars on her came to me. When she appeared she took up the entire ceiling and she told me her name. She explained to me that she had always been with me in this lifetime and knew me from past lives and that I had hurt her and her people.

She was referring to my war on the spiders and my growing fear. She said that all I had to do was stop. Stop reacting out of fear and stop using violence. That they were drawn to me because I am marked by her. So I promised that I would never deliberately kill another spider for the rest of my life unless there was some freak situation where one was for whatever reason trying to hurt my loved one and could be fatal, but outside of that I wouldn’t hurt them and I would be respectful to them. Since this promise and working with her actively I don’t get attached. I do have them around me all the time but if they are someplace I don’t want them I carefully move them outside, unless it’s raining in which case I put them in my workshop. The other unusual thing that happens now is if I pick up dead spiders they start moving again. I thought it was a coincidence the first few times, like they had just molted or something, but if the spider is intact and freshly dead I can reanimate it. Not sure why or to what purpose but I place them outside when I have that happen and send them on their way since even I find that creepy.

I have a precious gift from a pumpkin orb weaver spider in my garden. A thistle seed puff had blown into its web and it was disappointed that it wasn’t food so I walked over to help it out. However, it didn't need my help and wrapped it up in silk. Then it turned to me and waited so I put my hand out and it dropped the silk wrapped seed into my palm. I keep it on my altar now. So the point I’m making is you should experiment using the scientific method to see if you can summon spiders or if you can just hex someone with spiders. If so it is likely you have a spider spirit that favors you. Now I must point out that one shouldn’t sick spiders on our friends or people who haven’t truly wronged us, simply because it’s not kind to them or the spider that might get hurt in the process.
By the way, since you posted this have you had any new interactions or experiences with spiders?

One time I was living in a tent in an area that had a large population of daddy-long-legs. I would usually just kinda pick them up and throw them away from me and my stuff. One day, I was angry because I got tresspassed from the store right next to my tent. My friend stole from them, but I wasn't even with him at the time. The only reason they even knew he was my friend, since he had just moved to the area to be near me, was because as I was walking up- I saw him being arrested. I walked up to the cops to make sure he had my phone number. While I was talking to one of them, another came out and said "They want to put you on tresspass, too." Anyway, the next day or something I was sitting at a safe distance watching the store and I saw the manager, who never seemed to like me, taking out the trash. At the same time, I picked up a daddy-long-leg and sort of held it up to the manager in my line of vision and wished they would never leave him alone and crawl all over him and never give him peace. I wasn't really serious, just angry. What actually happened, though, was the damn things wouldn't leave ME alone. Lol. From then on as long as I lived out there, they were always coming my way, always a ton of them in my tent, like they were seeking me out. They didn't seem to be malicious towards me though. More like they were forever running towards me saying "Use me for a curse! Me next! Me next!". Haha. Idk. This story was kinda pointless, wasn't it?

Spider have long been used as symbols in different culture, they are also closely linked to all kind of spiritual practices.
I have good experiences with spiders, something similar to @HellenaHex's experience although different. I will not bore you with the details but basically they can be very consistent omens in life (you need to figure out the meaning part by yourself though), they also are precious spiritual allies.
Be nice to spiders, maybe try to communicate with one or with a more general "spider spirit" in a way that resonates with your own beliefs/ aesthetics, and see what happens.

About spiders, I remember someone on YouTube who does Astral Projection ( not lucid dreaming where you are "awake" in your dream but the kind where you go to higher energetic dimensions). He said that black spiders are manifestations of negative energy when someone is thinking badly about you. Brown spiders are good energy and helpers of some kind. I can't Astral Project, but guess what I am thinking each time I see a black spider now.

Immediately after, could be a day or two after I watched the video, I walk into my room during daytime, and there is a huge, and I mean humongeous brown spider in front of my chair and desk. Like really prominently in the center of my room. Never saw one as big as this before, not in this room, not in any other room in the appartment, and not since. It was so weird how big it was, and it was completely unmoving. Like "catch me, I hold still". It's not like I caught it in motion and then it stood still as it noticed me entering. It was still when I entered and I just saw it because it was so HUGE. I first thought it was dead. Weird. I brought it outside and it sat there some more and I watched it from inside and then it was gone. And yes, I was trying to telepathically talk to the spider. Why miss an opportunity. It didn't tell me anything, thought. That's all.

I'm thinking now that maybe I was "making" spiders appear in my projection because my attention was focused on the concept. And spiders being so small, I wonder if energy can "make" them go places, like when people attach tiny wires to fleas and make them draw mini carts. They can't help themselves but walk somewhere where they otherwise would have never walked. Like into the the middle of my room during daytime.

Spiders are very interesting topic to discuss! While I honestly doubt that spiders can be astral projected to people when you think about them in a certain way - some people in this world would scream in relentless agony, faced by the black-legged arachnoid hellstorm I would have cast on them by now - I would like to postulate the idea that the spider is a fascinating symbol of mystic duality. And I think they are great as a familiar, little household demigods, creepy crawling around, minding their own business.

Spiders are useful little critters. In houses they indicate a healthy environment. You may not like their - to us - outlandish appearance but if you find them in your living quarters they might indicate there are no toxic chemicals around - or if you will - no bad auras. They hunt down vermin to feast on them, so they are proactively purify our homesteads, for free!

You might remove or destroy their webs, but they don't mind. They will just rebuild it, as this is the circle of physical existence, and the sole purpose of their lives. Spiders are a symbol of inner alchemy, for they produce venom and silk from their innermost, to kill and to create! They are a symbol for creativity, for creating and transmuting life force, by finding new techniques, mastering necessities, and turning them into an art form.

They are a symbol of duality, that just reveals itself at second sight. Sometimes to preserve life you have to kill. To neutralize threats, or to feast on life force. Spiders are literally a personification of the Vampyre archetype, little vampyric household demigods! They teach us to not judge a book solely by the cover. Something that appears at first sight to be strange, inhuman, vile or "evil" turns out to be benevolent to others. Without them we would live in a world full of uncontrolled breeding vermin, a living hellhole.

Spiders teach us not to fear the bizarre. Mostly, the greatest danger comes from our peers. And they are super kinky! Some males like to tie up their partners, some females enjoy devouring their mates as a nutritious snack after their holy communion. No life force shall be wasted! Spiders are ultra utilitarian, the only law is survival! And they are able to cooperate with other species! There are many proofs in wildlife.

They also teach us that there many different ways of perceiving the world we share to live in. They almost solely perceive their surroundings by vibrations. To them the same world has a completely different appearance. There is not one way to discover the truth, there are many.

To stay on-topic. I don't believe in the possibility of casting spiders, at least not at a low level of magick capabilities. Spiders are life force incarnate, a vessel of emanating divine will. You do not call them, they'll come when they are needed.

And as you may have noticed by now, I'm quite fond of spiders, I just don't need them in my face!
