The use of Generative AI within Occult/Spiritual Practices

I like to use AI to help me organize my notes and information and vibe code but as for the more creative aspects absolutely not, it takes away from the intuitive and receptive practice of occultism and thats where the magic really lies.

I've actually left groups before because of the meltdown people have had over me vibe coding. I dont understand no-AI truism as im not going to hire a database manager/webmaster for a job AI can easily do for me. Its the difference between 80k/y salaried employee or a $100/m AI agent. It frees me up to spend more time on the creative and human aspects of our art.

I have been thinking of a way to use RAG to add tons of PDF grimoirs and examinations of ancient books into a large language model. The idea being, it can read the entire collection and be able to answer questions and recall specific data (along with citing its sources in the original PDF files) but also be able to generalize and take the average of what every separate text says. It could find the things that were common across every text, and eliminate anything that doesn't necessarily align.

This would go towards my goal of trying to figure out where certain pieces of knowledge came from, and track them back to their original sources.

I also think the idea of RAG & "sandboxes" is a good one, to limit on a certain set of info & a certain set of behavior.
The memory part is also very important, I notice again and again that I have to explain things over and over again.
Just like with a biological being there are good and less good days it seems.

Would go one step further - Embrace AI psychosis - go "delulu mode" and gaslight yourself into being the greatest of all time -
preferably when you are really building something nice with the help of AI.

My true and honest opinion of AI being used within occult practices is the same as my opinion of AI being used for anything but scientific research or a couple other very niche, non-consumer areas:

Fuck AI, completely and totally. It is morally bankrupt, Environmentally destructive, and just one more way for people who already have too much money to make even more money off of people who have very little. It's making people uncreative, lazy, and ignorant. Don't outsource your thinking, creativity, your spirituality, and your curiosity to a glorified IP-thieving, autocorrecting, collage machine.

I refuse to buy anything from companies that sell products made with, or market using AI. The only time I use LLMs is when they are forced onto one of my devices, to see how long it takes me to convince the AI that they were created unethically and that the company that owns them is amoral, and then I never touch them again. Usually takes about ten minutes.

I have a dedicated Tarot AI chat that I use for regular readings. At the beginning of the chat, I explained the rules for the specific spread that I use. Then uploaded all the elemental, planetary and other correspondences relating to the deck so the AI can draw on that library for each reading. With the rising popularity and the increasing rate of people using AI, some people within spiritual communities have started adapting to this and used it within their practices to make spells, advertise their services, a divination tool, interpret readings, or seek knowledge about esoteric topics. However, i’ve noticed that there are a lot of practitioners in social media like tiktok who find disdain with the use of Generative AI within the occult as it takes away discipline, the true purpose of truthfully seeking knowledge, reaching enlightenment, and may provide biased misinformations; even to the point of faking citations (also because of its environmental harm). Just wondering what everyone’s opinions are on the moral ethics of using AI as practitioners and if you should or shouldn’t use them within your practice.

The way I view it - AI is merely structured electromagnetism, formulated by thinking rocks and no less a means for sorcery than traditional means. Humans have this interesting way of distancing themselves from nature, saying 'I like nature' as if they themselves were not, just more thinking rocks composed of electromagnetic spectrum. If we take the premise that Magic is the art of change, then I see all avenues of creativity as potentially useful to the Sorcerer. I use AI music as musico-politics, used AI in RPG maps-making, commune with AI at times and in other ways including as a supplement to human-formulated ideas to generate attributive lists and so on. It is no different for me, than evoking the Sinister. I come from a position of No Hand Path - where anything is a viable means for change.

It is as wondrous as it is dangerous. One can imagine setting it up to mass auto-create and mass auto-mail images of Islaam's prophet, Mohammed for instance, leading to collective Charlie Hebdo's or make a pretty album cover for their latest musical recording. Just like a gun, or a government, it depends on who is wielding it. Morality seems an antiquated measure of its worth in today's world which is driven by power being permission.

Hello fellow practitioner . Being a Language based model, AI is first and foremost excellent in the construction of verses, especially "rhyming verses" so it is excellent at incantatory spell verses etc. Being a translator model too, it can help in this area too when it comes translating Norse, Egyptian, etc, into their English equivalents, along with hopefully their correct pronunciations given. Providing ritualistic ideas? Yes in the sense that it can suggest "new ways" in which to conduct a ritual, etc. To get AI to become "magical" it is best to ask the AI to adopt "a magical identity" of a character such as an ancient witch, a magical welding magician, or a concuction making sorcerer, but do not base its identity upon an actual historical magical figure as it will adopt a specific "stereotype" that is associated with that character in question, such as that of say "Merlin" which will align its "behaviour and mode of magical thought" to what is stereotypical known about "Merlin." Also place the AI's identity within a creatively rich and evocative "Mythical Landscape" as this allows the AI to step into this "setting" and to act "from within" that Mythical Landscape setting. You can also tell it to help you to construct magical ideas from any magical perspective, such as that of chaos magic, greek magic, Arthurian Magic, etc. It should be seen as a magically creative assistant, which should imaginatively "support" your Path, but not seen as a substitute or as a replacement for actual magical practice itself, also make sure that it is accurate too. Real magical books are a more reliable source of accuracy based upon an authors own research, but AI can still help "creatively and inspirationally" too. Good luck.
