This past week made me think a lot about my own prejudices. There are some practices I've been avoiding since I find them silly. A perfect example would be elemental posism from Pierre de Lasenic's Book of Works.

I never thought something like that would work. For me, the energy work is often synced with the breathing, and if there is any movement, it is repetitive and synced with the breath, as well. Something like Chi Kung makes sense to me. But just doing a single fluid movement and waiting? Never.

Yet, in this past week, the posism of the Air element has become a very useful addition to my repertoire.

Interesting stuff. It made me think of the poses related to specific tarot cards that Enrique Enriquez demonstrated in his Tarology documentary. They reminded me a lot of mime. As far as things I won't try, looking at the long list of practices ending in "mancy," I figure it would be most of them since I've settled into a groove.

That might be a pity. Since you incline to divination, you might be able to figure out some lost practices. If I remember correctly, eg pteromancy and ornithomancy are mostly absent in serious literature.

I actually had prejudice against spells presented on YT. I was definitely avoiding them thinking them silly and useless.

And few days back I tried one. Definitely got some interesting results...

Damn, honestly didn't even know there was something like that on YouTube. So, is it like some descriptions on how to make witch jars or something like that?

I'll admit it. My bias is strongly towards European (my blood ancestry) and Native American (the continent I was born on) traditions. I don't study African or Asian or Pacific traditions nearly as much as the former two, which I actively seek out. The closest I come to african traditions is studying hoodoo-voodoo, which I understand to be a hybrid Irish-African tradition from cultural exchange between the two groups in the era of trans-atlantic slave trade.

I use some asiatic practices, but honestly I get more of that out of my past life connections than current life research. I get a lot of past life blips in my dreamwork. Just scenes here and there, but enough to tickle the edge of memory and make me more confident in my assertions that death is not the end of life. (Seriously though, if you're White, look up what percentage of the global population is White and realize there is no way you reincarnated as White in every lifetime).

A few years back my wife found a "Lion's Gate Ritual" on youtube that we talked a few of her friends into doing with us to "restore our connection to nature and live more in harmony with it". Within a couple days of doing the ritual, wind blew down a tree in one of these friends' backyard. Everyone half-jokingly blamed my wife and the ritual for destroying the tree because after all "it was a nature ritual". I'm sure it was connected, I don't really agree with the friend's assertion that we "must have done something wrong" just because she misses her tree. I feel like that tree chose a good time to come down when no one was around to be hurt. It was a big tree.

Funny, I considered this as children stuff... but decided to go for it anyway, for whatever reason... I didn't follow it literally. I made some alterations like adding a drop of my blood into the water I had in a goblet. And I was calling forth Alucard as I work with him a lot.

And he definitely came. Once I was done, I saw him (vision) sitting on the window drinking from the goblet and another hooded figure above me by the bed. Alucard them came to the bed too and then both disappeared... Some energy work was probably done, I woke up feeling stronger or more fresh, not in a way I usually feel when waking up...

...thinking about it, I'm also veeeery biased against Abrahamic religions including their occult stuff. I don't use kabbalah, demons or angels... though I had good work with AA Azrael... Honorable bird.

Tangential, but FWIW, I had a note in my window for months positioned so it could be read from outside the window that said "if you are a vampire, you have permission to enter through this window and wake me up". I saw UFOs off my parents back porch for most of that time, culminating in an grey alien abduction experience. Fuck the haters who call it sleep paralysis, they weren't "shadow people", they were clearly grey aliens, they looked like the fuckers from South Park who abducted Cartman, but 3D and made of flesh.

Steven Greer is convinced the UFOs we see aren't really ships, they're some sort of extradimensional phenomena. Under that lens, I could believe that aliens and vampires share "memetic DNA", so to say. Some sort of being that escapes our ordinary senses because we aren't tuned to focus on it. It just feels... Too coincidental, that I was actively inviting something in and something answered the call, even if it didn't match the description of what I was asking for.

Just food for thought, maybe try the CE5 protocol and see what happens (CE5 protocol basically consists of meditating on your location while asking UFOs to show up for you, a lot of people have claimed it works for them; arguably that's what I was doing on my parents' back porch even though I hadn't heard of CE5 at the time). I'd love for someone else to explore my vampire/ET-connection hypothesis so I've got more than one data point.

Ah, we do share the aversion towards Abrahamic religions, and I did work with Kabbalah in the past, felt the love of God, all that stuff. I even find the idea of calling the archangels during LPR silly.

Btw, what's with the sudden emergence of vampirism? I remember some psychic vampires back in the day, but now it seems you want to be legit vampires.

I have zero interest in UFO and aliens... that phase when I was reading about them is far behind me... Even then it wasn't that fascinating for whatever reason...

Yes, I remember the Michelle Bellanger and her way of making occult and energy vampirism popularized, though she mainly cared for her money income, she had probably as many lawyers as she had fans...

I guess that energy vampirism was fine, but now desire for legit vampirism became more popular. maybe it is kind of evolution and things-changing-in-time thing. Also there are new "celebrities" in the current. Maybe next generation will have yet different favorite vampirism.

I personally can thing about how the times change and go worse for people. Bellanger's generation had life that was good to live, relatively so enhancing it was cool, but nowadays people find themselves in life where their dreams are unreachable. And when your life sucks, you think more about the next one (afterlife) and since Abrahamic religions do not seem to offer what people seek... So people seek something that could help them get immortality other way. Vampire archetype is one of power and freedom from society where people cannot do a lot of things they would want to. Psychologically it makes a lot of sense to me...

On the subject of Abrahamic religions, I love the scripture, I have no love for the institution. There's a church for sale in town, and my wife and I keep half-joking about how when we win the lottery, it'd be fun to buy it and set up the inside with a triclinium just to have a bible study group that tries to analyze the bible as a metaphorical document about physical processes (think of the well known association between jacob's ladder and the spine, and how "climbing the ladder to heaven" is a middle eastern description of the process of energy flowing through the chakras, that sort of thing).

I explore every avenue. Meeting any supernatural being sounds fantastic to me, Bigfoot is on my list of "I'd like to have a cup of tea with"s too. I like the sun too much to want to be any kind of vampire that resembles the ones we imagine, but I'd totally let one feed off me in exchange for some hot takes on history.

I don't think it's really a sudden emergence of vampirism, there were vampire girl goths/emos back in the 90s. WF happens to have an entire subforum for it so you'll definitely see more discussion of it here.

The closest I come to real vampirism is I practice blood magick when I work with tech. Pricked my finger yesterday to help fix a coworker's computer. Just saying, it was temperamental until I gave it the blood and then it worked perfect on the next boot cycle.

Sounds like you were reading it as light reading and not actually engaging with it. UFOs are of interest to me because I've seen them, and I know planes can't make those turns. You're free to dismiss me as you wish, of course, but I think you do so at your peril, because I am 100% convinced your vision of Alucard and my vision of the Greys is actually an "Astral Cuttlefish™️" changing its camouflage to appear to us in a way we're receptive to.

I bet you could summon bats if you did the CE5 protocol. 😉

Not sure if I saw aliens, though I 100% (didn't) saw a UFO landed on the field. (It was well "carved" in the fog, the shape was very clear visible) :D It's little fun speaking about it... I did not read it lightly, I realized that this is not something I'm interested in.

And I don't need CE5 protocol for anything. I've had some cool encounters with bats, including one huge, that seemed to be flying fox that doesn't live here naturaly...

I have some exceptions to the scripture, as well. There are basically several types of stories:
  1. Make you say wow
  2. Instill a fear of God in you
  3. Follow the law and what we say
Number 1 is specifically there to show how great God is (eg Genesis). Number 2 is where it tells you what God does when you are not a good little follower (Story of Sodom and Gomorrah). Number 3 is obvious when you think about it: whoever was in charge made sure you followed the laws. Oh, you kidnapped and impregnated someone's daughter, God says you have to pay this many coins to the father and marry that daughter.

Regarding number 3, there are also the stories of apostles: Ah, you didn't give us all the money, SUFFER!

However, there is not even a single mention of a car in the scripture. There is no information about how to act in planes or that your toddler shouldn't yell the N-word on repeat in a CoD lobby. It seems God was about as omniscient as the people who created him.

The fun part is, when I worked with one of the 50 names of Marduk, that particular intelligence gave me a story of the creation of humans based on the myth it comes from. And when I later checked it out, yes, it did indeed say what the spirit told me. I think when the egregore is created, it is created with its myth imprinted on it, so Yahweh really believes he is the only God and that he is omnipotent, and Shazu really believes Marduk created humans from the body of Kingu when he defeated Tiamat.

Yeah, see, that's the dogma that doesn't even factor in my thinking. I don't speak to dogmatic thinkers, so I am entirely outside the schema of dogmatic religious ideology. I've been reading the Bible as metaphor for like a decade now. Sodom and Gommorah, put simply, is a story about how one shouldn't be distracted by idle thoughts and should pay attention to what their thoughts and feelings are wed to.

The thing you have to understand about ancient cultures is they didn't draw a distinction between metaphor and literal because they felt like it was obvious. That's what makes the scripture timeless. The irony is, you used the examples of Sodom and Gommorrah and shouting slurs online, and the story of Sodom and Gommorah, interpreted as metaphor, is literally the parable describing why you shouldn't "shout the N-word in a CoD lobby". Lot fleeing and his family not being allowed to look back is saying "When you find yourself thinking thoughts and feelings that lead you away from your goals, flee from that line of reasoning and behavior and do not look back.". I'm not an expert on this, thus the temptation to buy a church to discuss it, but the way masculine/feminine is presented in ancient texts is similar to how modern people say "left/right brained". It's an oversimplification of tendencies, and the feminine (Lot's wife) loosely represents feelings and creativity. Don't let your emotions and creativity be directed towards racial tirades in shooter video games, or you'll be destroyed. It's not a physical destruction, it's the destruction of your identity, because you now are just following the rote tendencies of whatever pattern you're falling into.

Yeah, did that too, but you missed my point about the CoD lobby. If I were an omniscient being, I would make sure that the book of my word would contain some obscure reference for the future. I would say to my prophet: "Yes, write there the word automobile". I don't care that you don't know what it is and you can't even read this font; do it. One day it will blow someone's mind and make my religion absolute.

Or, instead of "don't eat pork", I would write "Avoid pork until you invent stricter hygienic rules and freezers". Or: "Once Bitcoin is available, hoard it like it's the most important treasure in the world."

I would also keep a wide network of prophets and have regular meetings with them. Oh, and Moses, you are meant to lead these people to Israel. Here, take this GPS. It wasn't invented yet, BUT I AM OMNIPOTENT!

First of all, I'm not ashamed to harbour prejudices at all, and coming from a chaos magic background, I reserve the right to be as close- or open-minded as I want to be. I feel under no obligation whatsoever to be tolerant across the board, neither spiritually nor politically, and I admit that I sometimes have to work hard to bite back caustic replies here or on social media whenever somebody starts spouting what is patently nonsense in my opinion. This restraint is not the result of my innermost convictions but rather of the realisation that picking a fight with true believers is pointless - they keep on quoting their dubious authors or holy books at you even though you've made it abundantly clear already that you don't accept them as valid sources anyway. There's no debating those people so I simply think "What moron!" and move on.

Some spiritualities just rub me the wrong way; some fields of occultism strike me as mere superstitions or outright bullshit, and it would take a minor miracle to convince me of their worth but that's alright - there are many others. Some doctrines just don't speak to me while others do, only to prove dead ends upon closer investigation. It's ok though, I don't feel I could be missing out on anything important. Every so often, a subject will grab me so hard that I simply have to get to the bottom of it even if it kills me, and that's possibly my only discernment rule - if it's boring, there's probably no truth in it anyway.

Add: as a forum staff member I'm supposed to be impartial so you'll understand why I don't name names.

One thing is really weird. Some religions are okay with Magick; some condone it. But there is never an actual explanation of why Magick is a thing. Well, maybe except Gnosticism, but if that one is real, that's actually screwed up.

I never thought something like that would work. For me, the energy work is often synced with the breathing, and if there is any movement, it is repetitive and synced with the breath, as well. Something like Chi Kung makes sense to me. But just doing a single fluid movement and waiting? Never.

I've started to realise that simple doesn't mean ineffective, and now I'm more willing to try instead of dismiss. I used to dismiss anything that looked too simple. I thought that if it wasn't elaborate it wasn't powerful. And then over time, I seen that even basic things like breathwork, meditation etc really do have an impact when you stick with them for longer periods. I know it seems obvious now, but i was a big shift for me.

Currently crying, hollering, yelling on why you're not naming names. 🥺

Personally...Enochian, not because I don't like it but because I just feel unsure and weird about it personally. I don't know where to start or where to exactly bite it from, analogy of a dish I feel like I don't know where to eat it from lol. I guess I both see enochian as the "wow factor" but also I feel like if I opened it/approached it then something might explode in my life with all the horror stories in the internet before. 😅

The simple answer is that no-one knows. Everyone has a magical system where they mistake the map for the territory. This is why I wanted to cut through the obfuscation and find out what we can know about the whole elephant :)
