Shwmae, folks. I've always loved the syncretism of folk Catholicism, and find myself increasingly drawn to working with the saints from a more localised protestant background (I was baptised in the Church in Wales, a lifetime ago, and have bounced around the pagan/occult world since). I'm curious, does anyone else experience their local saints as part of the genius loci? Welsh saints are so embedded in our place names, local legends and myths, miracle workers rubbing shoulders with figures from the Mabinogion, their physical remains even part of our land. Cymru is such a historic mix of faiths. For a country filled with protestant chapels, we do love our saints!
Any other folk magicians work with local saints more than the 'big' Catholic ones?
