feel drawn to create my own spell, but I'm unsure of the path. Can anyone share the principles and deeper workings of spell creation?

You know, I'll give you answer for multiple of your questions, probably even some you didn't asnwer yet.

Knock yourself with knowledge. You seem to have very little, possibly no theoretical knowledge of magic at all. Start there. My personal favourtie for being the first book to read is Liber Null. (without the following Psychonaut text) But there is ton and half of the books in the library. You can start for example by looking into the list here: [Official] - SkullTraill's Recommended Occult Reading and Reference

Thank you so much. I really have very little knowledge about these subjects and I’m trying to learn. Usually, only you and one other person help me, and I’m grateful to you for that

Sure, the analogy I use is " making a cake... a layer cake " The layers are made of corresponding layers of increasing significance. The order of each layer is going from particular to general. Because the key ingredient for this cake is "significance", there is a pre-requisite, the aspirant necessarily must know themselves to the extent that they are aware of what is meaningful to them. After that a ritual practice can be developed. In this case, a "spell". Prior to that, it's trial and error looking for what causes the heart to go pitter-pat, and the mind to swoon with intellectual-awe, aka "wonder".

So, understanding the purpose of the main ingredients is enough, I can strengthen it by understanding the additional ingredients, right?

If the understanding cultivates increasing layers of "heart-beating" and "mind-swooning", both, simultaneously, I vote: yes. Lacking that, based on what you've written, I recommend experimenting with different components, adding, removing, tweaking, etc... It sounds like you're on the right track, though.

So how can I understand and learn what the materials are for and how they should be arranged?

So I'm trying to create a spell by adding the wrong ingredient, will it harm me or will the spell backfire or will nothing happen?

I think that as beginner you shuld start with recreating already existing spells for a very parctical reason. If you're a novice and have little to no knowledge, when the spell that you created does not work, you propably would't be able to tell where exactly you have made a mistake. Therefore, you can easily waste resources and time. When you have some theoretical and practical knowledge and feel comfortable with your practice, then you can start experimenting with creating new spells with a fairly high chance of success.

As usual, I recommend Alan Chapman's "Advanced Magick for Beginners"
