It can be talkrd here or in DM doesnt matter.

this is a follow up to a question i had before on another thread.

I joined some FB Hekate forums to get some insight. (I keep having different people say Hekate is seen in my scans and such)

Im not too familar which her. though im learning. Im just trying to get a clear confirmation as to what she needs. (alot of people of giving me some different answers or no real answer)

Any advice would be good. thanks

What she needs? Are you referring to offerings?

I mean to say. im trying to figure out why she reached out to me. i saw her in a dream (most likely)

Since then. every time ivr had people practice doing intuitive readings on me (different place/forum) they all say she is contacting me or wanting to reach out (I can pull up their posts if you like)

im just trying to figure out why. Since i really dont have any involvement with Pagan deities

She's a popular face of the Divine Feminine. Other faces include Isis, the Black Madonna/Mary, Sophia, Inanna/Istar... she's seen a revival recently due to Hellenism being the current trend in occultism. This being said...

Historically she is a titan but the caretaker of Zeus. In her original cult at Lagina she fulfilled a much lighter role such as Isis. Her tripart aspect got introduced around hellenization. There are two Hecates that occur at this time. The theurgists and neoplatonists identify her with the world soul/mediatrix. This is why she is apparent in visions and dreams and manifests so easily. This is also what makes her a face of the Divine Feminine. At the same time working sorcerers and Magicians in roman occupied Egypt are identifying her with a necromantic goddess, as in she is the goddess you use when working spells with the dead/deceased. This is likely due to her role in the myth of Demeter in which she helps Demeter enter the underworld to find Persephone. So in this she is a paradoxical death/underworld liminal goddess while also being the Divine Feminine (in philosophy this is the Dyad or Tao).

She is highly responsive, incredibly easy to access, and manifests more apparently than most other godforms (this is a trait of Divine Feminine goddesses). When she does appear unprovoked it is either to let you know she is watching and protecting you, or to trigger an initiation. Hers is one of the first you encounter on the magical path.

Ultimately, you'll have to ask her yourself. Other people can help a little, but its mostly up to you.

I agree with this.

Whether you work with her or not is entirely up to you, no matter what she, or anyone else, says. I am quite closely connected to her, both her and other spirits call me "the child of Hecate", and I refuse to have anything to do with her anymore. There is a ghoulish underworld being that serves her, who stands outside my wards, monitoring me constantly. Everyone has their own relationship with entities, but she is well known for her severe trials and tests.
