A Few Finds from the Archaeological Museum of Durrës Albania

I recently spent some time in Durrës, Albania, and visited the Archaeological Museum there. The region has a long Greek and Roman history, and the museum contains many objects recovered from ancient Dyrrachium and the surrounding area.

Here are a few pictures I took of ancient statues and depictions of gods, as well as various objects connected with temples and religious life:

I really like the pictures and I must say that they really took me into an, albeit short... fascinating dive into the history and religious life of Ancient Greeks and Romans.

It's interesting to see how popular those black crosses where back in the times.

But... I have a question though... isn't the text on the Six-Cornered star in Arabic?

Yes those plates are from a later period, when Durrës was under Ottoman rule
