I recently got into reading this book , and I want to use the Evocation working as described in it. I just had some questions , and was hoping that anyone who has used this book could help me out.

1. The book necessitates the use of a wand during the evocation working , but doesn't describe how to make one. I can either procure or make all the other materials needed as described in the book , save the wand , for which I require some help. If anyone has any solution for this , please do let me know how I can make a wand with household materials , as I checked online , and don't have the money to buy a wand off some site.

2. I'd love to know people's experiences and results with this book.

I cut mine from a black thorn bush. Sanded it. Painted it. Then used gold ink to write the lettering. Finally, I sprayed it with a glossy sealant so it wouldn't smudge.

You don't need a wand, but it helps. The sourcework for his book is Trithemius's "The Art of Drawing Spirits into Crystals" ( link

), which doesn't detail specific consecration procedure. Some magicians just use the usual solomonic consecration from the Greater Key of Solomon, which works well. Sam Block on his website the digital ambler has a complete exploration of Trithemius's work, if you want to go deeper into it.

I used Goetic Grimoire and his other book for angels, Modern Angelic Grimoire, when I was just getting started. They work great as guides, but the real work is understanding the difference in how to employ angels and demons. Demons are good for quick, uncomfortable, and simpler requests. Angels are better for something that will be smooth, broad, take place over a longer period of time, and ultimately be more comfortable. Combining both influences can be powerful, but giving unrealistic requests or calling the wrong spirit will most likely cause nothing to happen other than weird dreams for a while. I've seen people get obsessed with demons, going as far as worshipping them, and getting duped into giving tons of offerings for seemingly no payoff. Give something small when requesting something, and then offer more if the request gets completed.

Use a demon to influence a particular person to look favorably on you, then employ the angels of Jupiter to let it lead you to a promotion or opportunities for wealth.

Use an angel to increase your chances of meeting someone who will fancy you, and then a demon to speed up the infatuation stage.

Use an angel to protect you, and a demon to strike down whoever is causing you trouble.

You can strategically have an ally who is helping you in the long term, while having a footsoldier orchestrating the individual events. Good luck!
