Traditional:
Stand facing East.
Relax your body and start rhythmic breathing.
On out breath, intone the following, stepping forward with your left foot, back and head straight, and arms up, palms sideway to the sky, then dropping hands in a palms down movement but staying above the shoulders, with fingers together.
"Holy Art Thou, Lord of the Universe!"
"Holy Art Thou, whom Nature hath not formed!"
"Holy Art Thou, the Vast and the Mighty One!"
"Lord of the Light and of the Darkness!"
Drop left foot back, hands down at sides except for Sign of Silence.

Experimental:
Stand facing East.

then dropping arms down above shoulders as in an embracing movement,
The hands in a palms up movement but staying above the shoulders, with fingers together.

"Holy Art Thou, the Vast and the Mighty One!"
"Lord of the Light and of the Darkness!"
Drop left foot back, hands down at sides except for Sign of Silence.

In Freemasonry, on occasion a liquid light would enter the temple, flowing down the steps in the East. One time it filled the temple up to my shoulders.

In recent years - not so much

I have been continuing this, which might somehow have energy management as a side effect.
I think even just the first two bows arms straight are fine, bit the more rotated and inverted is not only a symbol of receptivity, but seems to fan energy about.


It also helps adopting "Dragon Guards The Treasure".
Stand facing east, stand straight, feet below hips below shoulders, head up looking forward, not up.
Tighten abdominals and tuck up perineum.
Clench the ground with your toes, like clenching inward but on the ground.
Body completely straight now allows in this position two meridians to be open and active, allowing energy to stream in.
Now, adopting this posture, go with the arm movements and declarations made in the OP.

The sun rises in the east. It marks the dawn and start of the new day as well as the sun’s return from the “underworld” and the promise that life will continue.

There are, in The Golden Dawn Primary Techniques Book, a couple different directions faced. One is the standard Kerubic directions, starting with East-Air-Aquarius, South-Fire-Leo, West-Water-Scorpio/Eagle, North-Earth-Taurus. This is very much out of Ezekiel or the Key X.
Then there appears to be a procession of the solstices and equinoxes using different directions for Cardinal signs.

The sun (Sol) rises in the East and sets in the West.
At evening you can do the Adoration facing West.
