is it going to be the last normal year? are these last three months will decides our future?

Depends on humans what kind of year they will make for themselves.
Why? Was everything really “normal” until now?? :)
Maybe these next three months will change everything, maybe they won’t. We probably won’t know until later.
As Gandalf said, “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
So I guess that’s what we can do for now....

I kinda agree with this, it was never normal to begin with, i just kinda lost in the thought of not having to explore the world "if" all these predictions comes true, just gathering more information, like how im always doing.

Yeah… I guess it’s more about the thought of not getting to see and experience the world the way you imagined.
Who knows what’s gonna happen anyway? :)
Just keep digging, learning and exploring while you can.

well... predictions of the world ending have an extremely bad history of accuracy... of course mathematically this doesn't mean much, but at least we can say that humans have a tendency to predict catastrophes or literal apocalypses, for various reasons:

- out of hope: the fundamental feeling behind apocalyptic religions. despair over the world's state or cruelty leading into hope for a better world that actually cares ("the kingdom of God") is a universal draw to believe in a great ending that will be followed by something better (at least for the believers)

- out of despair: one who despairs at their life or how the world treats them can be drawn to believing in, or wishing for an ending where they don't simply die alone unnoticed, but everything collapses and those they resent are punished by fate or God

- to gain attention: climate scientists who need citations for their tenure or full professorship, and grant moneys to drive research will inevitably be drawn to take the most catastrophal predictions and possibilities, and write articles with abstracts like "we'll all die by end of 2026"... this is called "clickbait science" and is a real problem

- to make a hidden case behind a belief their lives depend on: AI execs and high-paid corporate researchers' current state as lords and masters with access to unlimited salaries and full government backing that the robber barons of the railroad would envy hangs in the balance, as with the real benefit of LLMs their real limits are also becoming obvious, and there's a real risk of commodification via Chinese competitors... so they dress their greatest hopes of incredible breakthrough up as fears, as the affective content doesn't matter as long as their field isn't A field but remains THE field...

- to pander to any of the above, and gain personal clout as a cassandra, influencer, cult leader, great occult master, etc.

The world may end in 2027. Or in 2028, 29, 30, 31, ..., 3021, 3022, 3023, ..., and so on. :) It's an old wisdom to savor each day as it was our last, as even if the world doesn't end, a mugger might knife any of us tonight on the way home, for all we know as humans.

Yeah, this is my feelings on the subject whenever I see topics like this. Just make the most of it while you can. You don't need an apocalypse for the world to end for you: you could be run over tomorrow, etc.

No dooms day scenario but AI will make things little worse for sure because Trump formalised to make America lead the AI race because he is still mad Russkies beat America in space race.

I intend to cut down my addiction to animal videos on YT and get completely tech free and also planning for sustainability life style.

I actually watched

It was interesting because it looked at both the people who are worried about AI and those who are more optimistic about it.
They also talked about

--basically AI that could think and learn across a much wider range of things, rather than just doing specific tasks like today’s AI.
So yeah, I’m not expecting a doomsday scenario either, but I do think AI could make “some things” (not all)-- worse if we’re not careful.
Going tech-free and cutting down on endless YouTube animal videos might be the healthier version of the future. :)

thanks will watch it sometime but I'm worried about kids losing their ability to read and comprehend we already deal with so much stupidity in the world, imagining with one button push AI can flood millions of people's social media apps with same messages and force them to take action before the truth gets out is a scary scenario because it is in the realm of possibility.

EU needs to do something about AI and social media because Trump is sold to paedo billionaires.

Russia or US using nukes is less of my worries I'm worried about stupid people just behaving like robots without waiting to verify if something is true or not.

Cats, dogs and red pandas a host of more animals keep me sane in this closer-to-Mad Max world. 😁

If op is considering 2026 a normal year that's tragic.
As for 2027
Season 3 Episode 23 GIF by The Simpsons

Zero sum behavior leading to negative sum conditions has changed little in the last year 9 months, unlikely to change in the next 3.
Global conditions appear to be worsening as that entrenched zero sum mindset continues to motivate economic, political and social establishments in macro and micro sets among many nations and people.

There is some hope with the development of co-operation among middle powers producing a positive sum outside the zero sum system. But it's under attack by the zero sum who see such a thing as a complete loss to their ambitions and would rather flip the board. Ideologue thinking, where far left or right meet in anarchy. That does put the positive sum coalitions into a zero sum asymmetry where the zero sum must be eliminated making the zero sum a self-fulfilling prediction of its negative sum conditions.

Some positive things to look for are an increased ability to distinguish between reductive sensationalist manipulation and fallibilist reasoning. The former being zero sum the latter being positive sum. An example would be climate change, where sensationalist media will overstate a scientific claim and credulous readers will take that sensational article as the science itself and will use the errors of it to validate conspiracy theories. Instead, if things are getting better, sensationalist media will lose potency and these reductive conspiracies will lose their fascination.

Anybody nostalgic for a time within living memory needs to understand that everyone whose music, art, movies, writing, or political actions who were valued at a national level, became visible to you because they were raping children. Those whose careers suddenly tanked or who died in embarrassing ways were the ones who turned down the offer. You didn't hear conspiracy theories because the lid was kept on it. Epstein, Diddy, and the dozens of others operating in similar fashion compromised every single person who was a big-timer in the media. When things look good and the conspiracy theories disappear, it's because the people with the facts have been disappeared. All that comfortable living you had existed because your leaders - who are all owned by blackmail - were busy murdering villagers to take their natural resources and installing their puppets as governments in those regions. If the Nazis had won, they would be telling you about their glorious achievements, just like the Chinese do after murdering tens of millions of their own people. There are whole branches of physics whose existences are classified, just to make sure you don't get any way to break free from the blackmail-controlled global order. If things are looking better, ever, remember all of this and think about what might not be visible to you that made that "better" happen.

There's nothing nostalgic about the post. It's about current 2026 and future conditions 2027. There's no mention of returning to the past or previous status quo, as that's not possible. In fallibilism there's no erasing truth, just finding better ways to defining it and as means to develop positive sum.
In regards to your post, the only way that seems possible in an on topic reply in relation to your off topic rambling, as your reply has nothing to do with my post or the thread topic, is that amygdala outbursts with enmeshed sensationalist fed conspiracy theories will increasingly be recognized as such if things are getting better and positive sum thinking is expanding.

as your reply has nothing to do with my post or the thread topic,
Indeed it does.

You cite, for example, climate change as one of the things that makes people manic about the future. Every step forward on that path is stepping over human bodies and abandoned cities, the entire agenda is built around industrial suppression and population reduction. It's tyranny marketed as environmental responsibility. Recognizing that is a good thing, being angry that such an agenda is being forced onto the world is even better, and then people doing something about that is best of all, rather than reasoning their way out of any sort of action.

You are hopeful that conspiracy theory will die off, whereas I am hopeful that they will grow as more people realize they represent reality, through a blurry lens. Conspiracy and corruption have been the reality for a long time, provably so in many instances, and our so-called normal years have been ruled by evil people. Their destruction or destabilization might not be a bad outcome, having a non-normal year might be a blessing.

My post for things possibly getting better in 2027 used as an example the indication of recognition of the sensationalism in media engagement around climate change that contributes to producing conspiracy theories from its misinformation feeding into misattribution to the science, and implying a better understanding of peer review will also help.
Not whatever you are trying to read it then present it as.

climate change as one of the things that makes people manic about the future. Every step forward on that path is stepping over human bodies and abandoned cities, the entire agenda is built around industrial suppression and population reduction. It's tyranny marketed as environmental responsibility.
Climate change isn't happening because of the science investigating it.

and our so-called normal years have been ruled by evil people. Their destruction or destabilization might not be a bad outcome, having a non-normal year might be a blessing.
Corruption is a consideration among many factors that highlights the importance of peer review and fallibilism.
Positive sum can lead to a non-normal year where previous years have been based upon zerosum leading to negative sum when corruption has been able to embed itself within that framework. But that doesn't mean throwing out the baby with the bathwater. It's developing the means to overcome it. Which may mean systemic overhaul but not frantic, misdirected, outrage and hoping for the best while shouting angrily which would just let corruption disguise itself in the chaos.
