Active Imagination vs Astral Projection vs Pathworking

Are these the same thing? I.e. a dive into the dream world/unconscious while retaining consciousness awareness?

I think they are three different techniques that use the same ingradient, or the eye of the mind.
It is up to the operator to judge which of these techniques best suits his personality or which is the deepest.
Pathworking can awaken archetypal images that show you a destination.
A shamanic dance can lead you spiritually to the destination.
An astral projection could take you to the top, observing you and the destination.
You choose.

In my experience the imagination, used with intent, can create portals into the target realms.

If you get visions from the spirits...in your mind they can come from your subconscious mind in the form of images

this can also happen if you connect with the collective unconscious...I hope that makes sense
