Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone can recommend me where to move in energy work. I learned how to create energy balls and charged them with intentions but I feel like it is just the beginning.

Good evening, Blue. I would recommend research into yoga/chakras as well as into the Kabbalah (and the Tree of Life); there is also a Golden Dawn ritual called the Middle Pillar, which might prove of interest to you : )

I would say that there are basically four things to work on in the realm of energy work: clarity, precision, concentration, and intensity. Clarity here refers to the extent to which your own channels are free of blockages. Qigong standing meditation is my preferred method for working on this. Precision refers to your ability to attune your energy to that of others beings, entities, objects, etc. You might say this combines the ability to "listen" energetically with the flexibility to match the energy that you are discerning. Concentration is just your ability to stay focused on a relevant energy phenomenon for extended periods of time. And intensity is of course your ability to move lots of energy in the particular ways you choose.

I haven't studied Qigong, though I have used Pranayama's breathing method successfully to raise and direct internal energies. I just looked up comparisons and Qigong also seems to emphasize the importance of controlled breathing. Does your Qigong technique include any sort of visualization practice, and does timing or place impact the results that you gain? Oh! And thank you for sharing : )

If you are interested in the Kabbalah and the Tree of Life, you can't beat Israel Regardie's 'The Garden of Pomegranates.' The Middle Pillar ritual is practiced in systems that descend from the Golden Dawn and I have seen video instruction on YouTube for rituals such as the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram and the Middle Pillar. For books dealing with sound and chakras I would recommend: Chakra Frequencies by Jonathan and Andi Goldman, Music and Mantras by Girish, Namarupa: The Magic of Tantra Mantra, and the Mysticism of Sound and Music by Hazrat Inayat Khan. These will give you a very good start on the use of vibration and sound in relation to the raising and direction of energy : )

The "Middle Pillar" ritual is a chackras cleansing ritual, but it is limited (a shortened form, so to speak), better, in my opinion, always do the complete one.

You are correct, certainly do your research before undertaking any practice (and if there are precautions, they are there for a reason). Since I do not practice a GD based system, I used the Middle Pillar as an example only (for I am anything but an authority for that modern Western practice).

While I cannot speak to specific books that really illuminated energy work for me, the baseline comes down to practice.

Make a list of things you wish to achieve with energy work and then keep practicing towards those ends. That little energy ball can do a lot.
Now try to make lightning bolt shapes, or start pushing that energy into an object to charge it?
Create a ball and then set it down. Try to determine the distance you can go and still feel the energy.

So many books and disciplines have the same baseline practices it's just that they are dressed up in different ways. Find a discipline that resonates with you and practice that way. Energy is fluid, so it is easy to assign it to different shapes and make it do many things. Golden Dawn speaks to some people, but other people really get results with specific exercises such as Reiki/Yoga. Even Chaos Magick has energy manipulation. But it still all comes down to practicing and expanding your personal gnosis.

Most of the time when we are learning, we search for new resources or the next big thing. But most of these (I say most because I am not an authority on all types of disciplines' exercises, but have notices some similarities between disciplines) do usually boil down to the same exercise types (energy sensing, manipulation, formation, generating servitors, etc) and simply vary in how they are explained in the source material. You have time to explore and determine what works for you.

Start with the list of what you want to achieve and go from there. But also definitely do the assigned cleanings and groundings after work. No sense in being loopy after practicing.
