What is y’all’s experience on the Arbatel. It was my first ever ritual that I performed, so maybe that is why it felt like nothing happened. The ritual is pretty simple, so I feel like that system would work better is you just use the spirits in another ritual, like what is seen in Planetary Magick by Dennings and Phillip.

Are you asking a question or giving a (not particularly thought out) opinion just to make a post?
@Omee has written several threads about Arbatel with detailed experiences. If you think
better is you just use the spirits in another ritual, like what is seen in Planetary Magick by Dennings and Phillip
then maybe give a reason why you think that, or examples, or write what you did and how.

If you need to believe the ritual has to be more complex for it to work then sure, but the simplicity of it doesn’t negate the efficacy.

I did a ritual with Bethor which seemed to work at first, but the result failed to manifest. Still inclined to try more on the grimoire.

I did a ritual with Bethor which seemed to work at first, but the result failed to manifest. Still inclined to try more on the grimoire.

I think the important thing with Arbatel is cycling more than doing one and saying "done". Definitely if you feel like nothing happened or it is unresponsive to you to try and contact all 7 olympic spirits through one whole week one each time and see which one is your door. If you go through a cycle you will realize there is a few neutral, some who are averse or not very amicable and some are very responsive. From that point you would start with working the most responsive spirit then start to go to the neutral and lastly to the least responsive.

For me, @Philomagus . I had similar experience with Bethor because he's not very responsive for me and the results don't last long. I shifted my requests of Bethor to Phaleg and it worked well for me.

Definitely just "grind" it and try to go through multiple simple ways to approach it, prayers, simple conjurations, etc.



I personally recommend working with Phul if you want the method to become more potent, there's an aspect to working with Phul in giving more weight to the method already outlined. I did contact

for advice/recommendations on working with the Arbatel itself and I don't know if this conjuration record deserve another post but I would post it here:



1)Me: What's your recommendation for someone starting on the path of your current or generally in magic?
Phaleg: Let the cross be their guide, no the Christ cross per se but the equal armed cross. As long as they keep their practice in moderation and neither in excessiveness it will start to bear fruit, the cross is both a guide and a measure for yourself as for other, keep it as a mental tool, a spiritual principle, and within you.
2)Me: What's you recommendation for someone starting Arbatel
Phaleg: Little everyday is better than a lot someday, better to approach the spirits consistently with daily prayers and some minor encounters instead of trying to enter into the end-all be-all of conjuration but end up disappointed. A humble approach goes further than trying to break mountains.
3) ( no question asked )
Phaleg: A glass of water added to the contact or any magical working helps "cool it" when everyone is stuck in their head and everything is on fire having that coolness or aspect of water in their work both nourish and cool the spirit and themselves. Be receptive and relaxed and may the Lord of peace himself give you peace.
