The book you hold in your hands, The Key of Abramelin, is designed to be the most powerful grimoire in history, and you can decide if I have succeeded in that task. The name of the book is to be understood in many ways. First, this book is a key to the Sacred Magic of Abramelin. Here I will explain the whole process of Abramelin clearly and give an outline of how to use it to meet the Holy Guardian Angel, the archangels, and the archdemons, and to use the magic squares to gain terrifying powers. Also, in a sense, the Sacred Magic of Abramelin is the Key to the whole grimoire tradition, because all other grimoires may be blended into its structure, as we shall see.
It’s also a play of words on the title of the Key of Solomon, and the Lesser Key of Solomon, well-known old grimoires. Another key to the magic of Abramelin is that it does not use pre-written prayers. The magician must speak to God, and all spirits from the heart, and in the moment. Also, and most importantly, the key of Abramelin is purification, and to use the book, one must walk on the path of purification. This is the key to the whole work.
