In light of a recent post, I wanted to post my own version of a Cord Cutting Ritual (also works for energetic severing. Kindly remove if an unhelpful post):
1x Length of any black or white string/twine
1x Pair of scissors
1x Black Candle (optional
1x Black or White Candle
1x Heatproof dish (optional)
1x Image of the person in mind, or any target marker (image, hair, visualization etc.)
Method:
1: On one end tie a knot to represent yourself, on the other side - another knot that you picture being the person you want out of your life (alternatively put an image where this knot will land).
2: Hold the portion of string that represents you and leave the other resting against the target's image (or image it as the other person). Leaving stretched out on an altar is fine while visualizing/place the other knot on the target.
3: Generally, you make several declarations of the target and yourself being far, far away from one another (and do so with utmost finality in voice and energetic intent. Optionally call down a divinity of your choosing to watch over the ritual and to facilitate it).
4: Cut the cord while stating that you and the target are separated. Visualize yourself in a void and the target disappearing from sight in this void if desired).
5: The string meant to represent the other person should be immediately disposed of in a bin somewhere far from you and the home. Otherwise burn it with the candle and put on a heatproof dish. Visualize that flame 'burning' away the person's interest in you. Dispose of the target's portion of string down the toilet if reduced to ash or far from the home/you.
6: Either let the candle burn down by itself or put it out with your fingers. Putting it out with your fingers allows you to reuse the candle (according to my beliefs).
7: Wash the hands (and dish) clean. As if you were washing your hands clean of that person.
That's a basic form of cord cutting.
(Optional) If you want: Coat the target's side of burnt string with black wax that you state as a 'closer'. A candle that will banish the party you want out of your life. Imagine it facilitating disruption in their ability to reach you. A slashing between you and them. (My edit time elapsed. Apologies).
