Hi!

I'm interested in finding some herbs that could work well in a beauty spell. I'm well experiences with performing spells for material wealth or love, but not that well at beauty spells. I'm starting to work with them and was just curious if any had any good herbs or herbal items that would useful? Thanks.

Rosemary may be a great choice - instead of just beauty,
I would associate it with vitality, and youth.
Cooking with rosemary is an easy way to include it into the spell - rosemary chicken mixed with a great white wine is a pretty tasty recipe for powerful magic.

Culpeper is useful as a compendium of traditional herbal powers. Here you'd want those governed by Venus: rose (a flower of course but obvious), mugwort, mint, mallow, catnip, raspberry, violet, etc. Given the classical symbolism, an apple, preferably golden in colour, would also make a nice addition.

It might make sense to consider what sort of beauty spell you are interested in. Beauty varies so much. For example, rose is the classic beauty herb, so it might work for an all purpose generic beauty spell. For a spell focused on being beautiful to a true love, Venus-tied Yarrow has a historical connection to marriage and divining true love and beauty. For a more sexy beauty, maybe Damiana which has aphrodisiac properties. Mysterious beauty? Mugwort. Dangerous beauty? Maybe Venus flytrap (not edible)? And so on.

Here are my personal favorites; Rose, hibiscus, jasmine, damiana, nightshade, mugwort. That will give you a really sexy sort of mysterious vibe. It depends on the type of beauty you want though! Forget-me-nots don’t directly help with beauty but they’re useful in glamours for making you “stick” in people’s minds. I typically layer beauty and glamour spells.

Use beautiful ones, of course. But seriously, there are more distinct, unique domains of beauty than species of plants to ever exist. There are some popular ones, but the choice is in the eye of the beholder. There are some popular ones due to fashions and arcane associations, but ultimately if you want the beauty of a rose, use a rose and if you want the beauty of a thistle, use a thistle.

For cat lovers... - I suggest catnip for feline playfulness, rose petals for beauty, lavender for grace, and rosemary for vitality and protection.
