Hi, does anyone use the thorns of Blackthorn in magic? Or any other part? If so, how?

It's excellent for making, but not limited to, those very useful "Blasting Rods".

Maybe I slightly misread you question though. Just the "thorns" themselves? I'd consult any "Good Herbal" reference for starters! 🤘

I have used them for home protection/defense.

Gemma Gary says in Traditional Witchcraft:
  • "The feared and formidable Blackthorn is of fiery virtue...it is employed to aid workings of blasting, defensive magic, setting strong boundaries, toad magic, and rites of the new moon. "
  • Also, a charm to protect the inhabitants of a home: "8 blackthorn spikes tied into a cord of red thread, passed through the smoke of Mars and hung up in some window of a home" -- a martial boundary hedge that will harm all who try to force malice/influence upon those who live within.

I once met with suggestion that there is a special way of making a wand from blackthorn especially that rise over the grave. But there was nothing more. Have anyone of you ever met with such instruction?

Not personally, per se. What you saw sounds like it was a wand intended for rites of "necromancy", my suggestion would be to research it's use as a "blasting rod" which would be useful in rites of necromancy IMO, "if needed". Blackthorn can symbolize both protection and danger. In many cultures, it's associated with death, destruction, transformation, and the supernatural. It deserves decent research to gain more insight.
Also the post above by @glaive is good for some possible directions to start in. It's a fascinating wood. Hope that's some help.
