I found a website where folk give vials of blood (theirs or a loved ones) and the person makes art out of it. One thing on their site were these runes that were made out of resin with the person's blood inside. How might using blood like this affect divination? I don't plan on getting these runes but I am curious what people here think in regards to this question. My guess is if it's the person's own blood it would create a stronger bond with the user. I also would think itd make interpretation for other people more difficult but that is just a guess.

Blood of a deceased loved one seems like a very cool way to communicate with them. But (I think) it would then probably be best to only use the runes for that purpose.

Sending someone your blood in a vial, particularly someone involved in an occult doctrine, is very risky.

According to some traditions, runes were to be blooded (aka blood has to be smeared in the incisions in the wood) to make them work.

However I am not sure if that's an actual thing, or something that Edred Thorsson/Stephen Flowers made up at some point (so many undeclared UPGs in his books!) and it stuck without any historical proof.

That being said, I absolutely agree that sending someone you don't know a vial of your blood, in an occult perspective, may not be the smartest thing to do.

Be careful! A lot can be done through blood. For example, to transfer someone else's illness to you. Some occult lodges kept blood samples of their members in order to use this blood to kill them in case of betrayal.

No that is true. It is where the German word for sorcery comes from "Zaubern" and the Dutch version of the same "Toveren". Although I'm not sure if it truly was blood originally, what I have read is it was a sort of red natural lead paint.

Perhaps the runes were stained with ocher. Archaeologists are finding Neolithic graves containing bones stained with ochre.

No idea! The artist just makes a lot of items with resin and blood. They send a kit to draw the blood and require you to use a medical professional to draw it. I dont even know if they are an occultist or not.

I dont plan on getting anything from said artist. I was just asking out of curiousity.

There is no reason why you cannot make runes from resin with your own blood yourself... or simply buy a set and stain them yourself, which is better, because adding things inbto resin affects the quality of final plastic.
