I can recall a suggestion from somewhere, probably Reddit, a mixed yellow, orange (or golden-orange mix), something with both colors. When I checked Google I found some of these, not sure if there is another word for this. For some reason I feel like it's the right one too:unsure:

Yellow is historically accurate, if we go by agrippa a mottled candle would work with yellow greens blues, I do see more modern candles leaning towards orange which associate to Hod. You could do a mix of colors depending on what path you follow or to remove or draw in perhaps yellow and black to banish or remove flaws etc.

You can use either yellow or orange candle for Mercury Retrograde. Yellow is the most common color associated with “Mercury” and used for clarity. While orange is linked to the sacral chakra, which is associated with how you feel. So choose yellow if you want more clarity, or orange if you want to feel good.

Someone told me that color of candle actually doesn't matter. But matter is a color of light itself.

Yes, different practitioners and opinions. I prefer beeswax candles. There are all kinds, most are yellow but also others exist. They might not be available everywhere though.
I've noticed differences between the colors and effects, especially white/yellow and black.

Someone told me that color of candle actually doesn't matter. But matter is a color of light itself.
I looked into colors when I was practicing things like candle magic and talismans, portal visuals, etc.
Baker-Miller Pink, or "Drunk Tank Pink" (R:255, G:145, B:175), is a specific shade used in jails to reduce inmate aggression by lowering heart rate, blood pressure, and physical strength. Originating from 1970s research by Alexander Schauss, studies show this color can temporarily calm violent prisoners, often used in short, two-hour stints, although, some research suggests it may increase aggression over time or cause humiliation.
It was super interesting that pink can calm for about 2 hours, and then has the reverse effect if exposed for too long.
So yes, colors matter, and our body and mind have a reaction, however subtle it may be.

Not that the candle should be pink, the candle should be picked according to the goals:
