Just learning about this stuff. I know CCRU and Land call the time-war an example of a superstition, but it seems like a fairly accurate description of something that "has been real" (time). Are there other texts about a similar kind of time war from Atlantis or Lemuria?

This also seems to be Science fiction. Moving it to Lounge

What up with Nick, does anyone have a good understanding of his writing? Why is he in China, though? From what I know I don't think he is really 'mainstream Chinese academia' compatible

No problem re:links. And it's not really science fiction in that sense, the overall CCRU project is about innovative occult techniques, like creating narrative fictions that become true. That's why it seems like sci fi, but the discussion is bound to be occult, it definitely belongs in the order or what have you.

The CCRU numogram system of time-sorcery is amazing, It's the most logical and developed map you can use to navigate consciousness. But the system is very complicated to grasp and beyond the intellectual reach of mainstream people. Atlantis and Lemuria is the mythos used by Nick and the CCRU to develop their system. If you experiment with Hyperstition and apply it in life, to say the least for me, it works.

Would love to learn about this, honestly; I have recently discovered a podcast called Rejected Religions, which in one episode it overall is about the prehistory of the term hyperstition, the Lemurian Time Wars and the CCRU; certainly fascinating, isn't it?

Isn't Nick Land involved with Dark Enlightenment? That's made up of people who think we should go back to monarchy and embrace the "free market" until we're smothered. I read an essay or short story or something by Land that was so stuffed with political and philosophical jargon it was incomprehensible, but I think the takeaway was that we should become cyborgs and kill all life on the planet; read it

. Needless to say I don't think he's very credible.

Wow, I didn't know 'bout that...

I've looked into this a bit, and yes, Nick Land coined and studied the term Dark Enlightenment and incorporated it into his accelerationist ideas.

Also, one of my companions said that at least half of their hyperfictional writings were "unserious", I fear; not sure if it is relevant to the topic.
