I've been reading a lot of different forums on hexes. And I wanted to see what advice I can get on here about a tutorial for a successful hex. Any additional success stories would be helpful as well.

I thought hexes and curses don't always result in death? Are you willing to murder someone?

Can you provide any of the the sources you've read?Of course they don't. I'm not an expert on cursing, but I've read enough to know better.
Is binding an alternative to hexes/curses? My apologies I'm just really out of the loop on a lot of this stuffNAP has a few. Also, Angels of Wrath by GoM. Also, there's a binding spell in Ars Speculum by Gary St. M. Nottingham where you use a magic mirror to bind someone. You can also work with Saturn using planetary magic to bind and otherwise curse through constriction.
Okay, well are there any less lethal spells to get back at someone who hurt you?A binding prevents someone from performing a specific action. Since it might keep them from exercising their free will, it's considered a form of cursing.
Makes sense. I wasn't spell begging, more so generally asking about spells.I suggest you read up on the subject. There is plenty of written material on hexing and cursing, and we have a rule against "spell begging".
Good luck.
I dont know why @Lurker did that reaction. It is a valid question! Are you willing to murder someone?
Even if they dont. They may ruin someones life. (Or yours)I thought hexes and curses don't always result in death?
No, but they do seem to work significantly more reliably if you're in that headspace.I thought hexes and curses don't always result in death?
It got flagged as off topic for some reason. Here of all places I kind of expected some baseline of contextual understanding but apparently I have to spell everything out like everyone is five. No fun.I dont know why @Lurker did that reaction. It is a valid question!![]()

It's not a moral issue, it's an ethical issue and I am yet to show any signs of trying to dictate ethics to anyone. "Inflammatory" is a subjective label I refuse to argue about. What "inflamed" feelings does your brain react with to my style of conversation is for your own consideration, neither do I mind nor do I care.I marked it as trolling because it looked like inflammatory, polemic bait for a moralizing lecture. There has been a rash of that lately - someone asks about cursing/hexing/love spells, and instead of helping, people come along and say "Golly gee, that wouldn't be ethical or moral, so why don't you do this instead?"
I have yet to see an OP who asked to have their ethics and morals dictated to them by members of WF. It also pre-judges their motives. You have no idea what people have been through, or are going through, in their lives.
I didn't report your post, even though I do think its trollish. Obviously, a moderator agreed with whoever did. We aren't children here, so don't try to put yourself above us when you get called out for posting something so inflammatory. Use polemics at your own risk. IMO, you've made some interesting posts since joining, but that certainly wasn't one of them.

Since you seem to insist: while it's again not what I meant on this occasion, in rather bad taste it is to scold people whose reaction to being asked "what knife is best for gutting someone" answer "perhaps consider not gutting someone".
Traditionally in witchcraft you see the use of poppets and dolls quite a lot used for this purpose. They were molded out of wax or stale dough, sometimes clay, or bundles of twigs, or a knot or cord of strings tied into a bundle. Basically, the first step is to fashion some sort of effigy which will serve as a talisman for the curse. Then you would work through sympathy with the target (something that personally belongs to them or was once part of them, otherwise a photograph might work, but obviously they did not have photographs in the medieval age). Usually something like applying pins and needles to the poppet. In some traditions, this was done while singing an enchantment that has a barb to it, a poem you turned into a bitter song meant to describe the pain and sorrow you have suffered and wish this person to experience with you. Then in some traditions you would place this talisman near by the person, like outside their house or something, so that it can effect them via proximity. If the curse was meant to be long-term or permanent, you might even have to "recharge" the talisman occasionally or replace it with a new one.I've been reading a lot of different forums on hexes. Empathy? See who's moralising now. Empathy is anyway an emotional state not a moral virtue, but it's kind of amusing that you'd try to shame me as if it was. That's fine, but let me quote you: "Are you willing to commit murder?"
Also, I'm going to point out that the forum has a rule against posting things that are clear violations of law - you know, like soliciting murder. Maybe that's why you got flagged.
Please quote the OP where he asked for a knife to gut someone. Again, you are exaggerating. You are acting like the only kind of curse is a death curse. You display a complete lack of empathy for the OP.

Actually, word-for-word, your quote was "Are you willing to murder someone?"
He asked for a way to seriously harm someone. I said "gut" because, while in relevant regards functionally equivalent to "curse", it conveys the facts of the matter in a more intuitively accessible way. That's one of applications of something called "metaphor". If you want to be very technical, not every act of pulling out someone's intestines with a sharp object will kill them. Again, what the hell is with the inability to understand simple figures of speech?
What I meant and have already spelt out is that one of the things that greatly weigh on a curse's effectiveness is reaching the state of one's spirit that's equivalent to the one accompanying having actually, physically murdered them.
Now go on, make it even more tedious. I will walk away at some point and you'll feel like you've accomplished something.
