I didn’t discover demonolatry through books, so it’s hard to share my experiences because most discussions focus on the Goetia. People rarely talk about Demons outside of that framework, even though there are a ton out there.
The Demons I work with aren’t the ones you can look up in a book. They found me, starting with the first one I worked with. Looking back, that happened because these Demons specialize in vengeance. At the time, I didn’t even realize I needed that in my life. I was being bullied and honestly didn’t think I would ever take action. But those first Demons were exactly what I needed then. They helped me push back and taught my bullies a lesson.
Demonolatry hasn’t changed my morals or ethics. What it has taught me is how to set boundaries with other people and how to communicate my boundary statements more clearly.
My most memorable experience is how much more respect I get from the people around me. Before, they’d ask me to do this or that, or help with something, and they were taking advantage of me. That stopped. You could feel the shift in the air. People treated me differently, with more respect, and they stopped asking me to do things for them.
I’d already worked with spirits, so it didn’t feel strange when my Demons showed up. They’re also not the same. My Demons are of different types, and it’s been interesting learning about their types.
If I have any advice for people who want to start, it’s to vet the Demons who come to you. Not everyone that shows up will have your best interests in mind.
