Maybe you want too much.
Maybe you should wish, but then you don't communicate what you want; you'll communicate your underlying reason/intention which is probably not what you wish.
"Wanting versus wishing" implies the fact that you live (by) what you invoke. A literal grip on the thing you are trying to control.
Wishing versus "just doing because it's in your vocabulary/innate rituals/habits" helps you project. Your projection is the projectile of your catapult that is the spell/enchantment/etc.

Edit: this means you probably just need to keep your philosophy and ethics close, don't focus on labels/rituals and try to make yourself fit them / put yourself in them. They are not the magic. The magic is when they are part of you and you use their internal representation/meaning/value to project.

That looks like you are asking US to get YOUR things to work .

I would suggest speaking clear and intentionally and making sure your words are an actual formula of what you are trying to communicate and achieve - otherwise 'spirits' will get confused ... and probably ignore you .

Exactly. It's up to the spirits of the system to decide who to initiate and who not to initiate.

I should have added to that last sentence that whether or not the spirits of the system decide to initiate or reject you won't be based on something as superficial as skin color. They are the ultimate gatekeepers of the system, so it's up to them to decide if you are a good fit.

Magic is the ultimate meritocracy.

Get a Diary, try differents things variation of the spells, do not think about the result, forget about it, you need to be confident that it will work, if you are all the time doubting if it will work or not, that interferes with the spell. Meditate everyday, learn how to control every emotion how to induce sadness, hapiness, everything, you should become a master of your mind. If you can tell the Universe it will work 100% guarantee from your concious and unconcious mind, it will work.

I want to echo this. If you want your magick to be effective you have to be so confident in it that you do the ritual and then forget about it. Thinking about the possibility of failure is manifesting failure. It's making room in the universe for the thing to not work, and thus increasing the odds that it won't.
