Spirits are not usually understood as being limited by human language in the way we are. What matters most is clarity of intention, attention, and the symbolic framework of the rite. Use English if it is the language in which you can speak with sincerity and authority.

The original language can be important when working within a specific tradition, especially for divine names, prayers, or kind of formulas, because it carries cultural and ritual associations. But poorly repeated words are not automatically more powerful than language you genuinely understand.

In yoga, one of the "supernatural abilities" (siddhas) is the ability to understand speech in any language. Even in the language of birds and animals. Most likely, we are talking about direct perception, and not about "translation". I do not think that spirits do not possess what advanced yogis are capable of possessing.

Or is their original cultural country language more appropriate?
Yes, they understand any language. But with important nuances. They communicate by intention and energy rather than by specific words.

This is where a hypothetical objective reality for thought has been helpful for me. It's not the language but the form of the thought itself that is moved by language. When I think of the number one in my language then various parts of the thought world are lit up, moved...altered in some way that corresponds to the same ideas to spirits looking at the thought reality from their side. And that goes both ways. It's a basis of discretion for syncretic magick.

Yes. It's most important for YOU to understand what you're communicating, regardless of the method of communication; whether that's English, Latin, sign language, stick figures, etc. That said, if you were working with a spirit of Chinese origin for example, and you translated what you wanted to say into Chinese, that action could potentially reinforce your work and make it more effective. Not because the spirits wouldn't have understood you otherwise, but because you invested more effort into the whole thing.
