Everyone's got one.

This was interesting experience that occurred during meditation and I wouldn't mind more options on this one. (also still not sure that it fits into vampirism section, but feels the closest)

As I was meditating, the vampire (Alucard, actually) came to me and said "I want the heart."
Then I see him holding a heart in his hand, mine, I believe, and he bit into it. He ripped piece of flesh and then let go of it. It instantly returned to its place as if there was never a bit.
Seeing that he said: "Not yet."
... and disappeared.

What do you think he was doing? This stuff can be quite symbolic, yet direct, so what do you think?

Sounds like "Not yet" could go two ways.

Perhaps your heart still weighs less than a feather, and future questionable actions will allow the vampire or other beings (the Goddess Ammit) a chance to dine at it.

Other heart eating exists in mythology as a way to gain properties of the consumed. Looking ate a witch's heart before fathering his monstrous children. Maybe the property the vampire wants to consume isn't potent enough in you yet.

I find it funny how people try to find a place for vampirism in the Bible. Some connect it to Cain, some to Judas. Some say it is alteration of the holy communion.

The last sounds at least semi reasonable... but those myths? I don't think so.

Nice thinking.

Symbolism tends to be personal. Though eating heart is indeed gaining something into yourself. There is myth, I assume quite modern actually, where Loki eats half burned heart of Gullweig to make her fell in love with him. Quite raw way of magic, but one that I would believe to be quite effective. So vampire might indeed want something of me... or he wants me.

Interesting thoughts for sure.
