Hi everyone!
It is said that Damon Brand's books from the Gallery of Magick are protected by a curse. How come ? Does that mean if I download the book for free on internet the content will not work for me ?

That's what Damon Brand claims:

We have cursed those who share the books illegally, and all who download illegally. This curse limits your ability to perform magick. Petty theft is the ultimate self-curse. If you steal books that cost a few dollars and then do magick, guess what happens? The magick amplifies the feeling of being a thief. You remain poor! People who steal cannot get magick to work the way it should. That curse on the self is stronger than any curse we could put in place. If you buy the books legally you will rectify this situation.

Whether such curses can even be effective is a matter for debate but I'd say the mere rumour of such a curse alone works 100%. Your GoM ritual is unsuccessful? Blame it on Damon Brand's curse. The next time you try one, you can't even help not expecting failure - I'm not sure that positive thinking works but negative thinking is effective every time.
I don't believe the curse would be a hinderance because of the target audience (beginners) who are exploring magick probably for the first time and have a need that brought them to woo-woo shit, and reading the book(s) are usually a last-ditch effort to get something that's out of reach for them. I know a lot of magical authors put curses in their books, some almost jokingly (Don Webb, for example puts hilarious curses in the forwards of his books!) I don't think that has ever stopped someone from using the magick if it's important to them. And if magic works for them, it's because of that need and the effort they put into the work, not because of the book.

Does anyone here actually have any stories from people you've heard from, come across, or actually experienced yourself as far as a curse? I've heard of bad things that have happened to people who actually bought his books. For others they work "like magic" (no pun intended). In my case I can attest that some of his books that I bought have worked and have saved my neck more than a couple times. In fact the only reason I've survived thus far in this economy is because some of his books and competitors books. I can't really explain why it fantastically backfires for some people other then perhaps said spirits just don't like them personally.
Mostly I've had good or neutral results from GOM. There were some developments where the situation evolved the exact opposite of my intention. Not entirely sure if that's due a) user error - perhaps a deeper less conscious intention manifesting or b) the cursio thing a mabob or c) other factors at play - such as the psychology of the people involved, etc. over-rode the magick, or they strongly reacted to it in a polarity way.

So - really not sure, but it could have been that.

ps. About Damon Brand's profession, in several places he refers to being a pilot, mostly it seemed like a hobby thing, but in place, apologies I don't recall exactly where - perhaps something from the Patreon - he mentioned that he works as professional pilot.
Sounds like he keeps busy: Professional pilot that prolifically churns out Magick books & other content, and claims to also write in other genres under other names. The magick in his books is generally complete systems of magick that he claims have been well tested - which would also include a bunch of researc to create (presumably what GOM does) Also, drops hints about having a family - but unspecific. And, in the sex magick book talks about escapades in that arena. Membership in The Gallery of Magick sounds like a significant (but very cool) investment of time. Also, on the Patreon he recently mentioned a long hiking trip. Also, has hinted about having other ventures / businesses / investments. Also, has mentioned some kind of coaching / consulting practice - perhaps just as an outgrowth of being a popular author. Some of his latest Trance Magick audio - vidoe stuff has well done hypnosis & NLP.

In any event sounds like Damon is a very successful & busy guy.

He claims in his latest book he could buy 100 new cars anytime he wished but complains about a few illegal copies taken by people who probably wouldn't have bought it anyway . I think a lot won't pay because they don't know if it's a con. He should just tell people to buy a copy when itbworks

100 new cars ... lets say average price of $30k (conservative - that's pretty cheap for a new car ) * 100 = $3 million ... so, that implies he's probably got something like $5 million or more liquid. Which probably implies at least a $10M - $20M net worth. That also would seem to line up with some of the things he's said in his books.

So, it would appear that he's definitely in the realm that most would call Wealthy. It sounded like the process in Wealth Magick, was the major thing that did the trick for him. I like that the new book addresses a bunch of not so obvious issues that come along with or could interfere with Wealth. IMHO - I think all the prosperity books from GOM form a nice system, taken all together.
