Hello there fellow practitioners. While I am a believer that magick is an influence on forces present, there is one area that I've never delved into, gambling/luck magick. I'm aware of hoodoo traditions and mojo bags to carry as talismans, goetic spirits, and other misc. spells but has anyone here actually tried any of these methods in the real world? While I realize that there are quite a few variables such as the place, the medium, the games themselves, time(planetery hours etc.), part of me would like to field test some of these traditions and paractices and record my findings. Do any of you recommend any systems, books, actual practitioners selling tallismans or the like in terms of services? Thoughts and info would be greatly appreciated.

I did spells and went gambling just for fun, and I won. I even intentionally threw a few games so it wouldn’t look suspicious, because I kept winning, and I was playing table games.

To me, the place, the method, the specific games, and even planetary hours or dates don’t matter. If your magick is measured, they work regardless of any other factors.

I only recommend DIY spells, so you can see how bad your luck really is and can target it.

I used to do this a lot, mostly online and almost always slot machines.
The methods worked and gave somewhat good results. There were some serious problems though.

The method I used was based on stacking a lot of energy, giving "service" to verse/prayer/mantra, and a lot of saint work.
Some of my sufi friends called it giving service. Tons of psalms, reading the special ones 20, 23, 112 and others in substantial quantities, mixed together with orthodox saint work. All material requests to these saints get picked up by something else anyway, definitely not the saints. It took me a while to understand that.

I focused on the following
1. Knowing the right time when to play, to get thoughts, intuition
2. Intuition and thoughts to point out the right games, during sessions
3. To make sure I leave with profits and know when to actually close the session
4. Increased luck, x multiplier or x $€
5. When to raise & lower the bet
I thought of every aspect, side and angle, whatever could benefit.
The most auspicious times were a few days before the full moon, full moon, sometimes 1-3 days after it. Other times it did not matter at all. Sometimes the progressive jackpots came during waning moon.

Then suddenly I got a strong desire to play. Strange stuff happened, bonus after bonus, game names kept appearing out of nowhere.
The win multipliers were high. Some progressive jackpots.
I counted the wins as "salary worth", a great outcome was around or more than 1x salary, half of it or at least a quarter.
It also worked in table games, roulette. I remember getting some deal from an online casino where I was given free 10 with a wager requirement. I kept playing and got maybe quarter of my salary worth.

Now the problems with this.
You are in an exploding state, mega charged, in a hyped up slightly anxious and bizarre state. It starts breaking your psyche. Psyche starts dwindling, especially if you are doing this a lot.
You might lose control over it and want to keep on playing. Figuring out when to stop is difficult. Over time it does some awful things to your mind. It seems to open a connection link through what the cash can move both ways. You can pull it out but the risk is not being able to handle the state.
If it is done through church magic you have to pay a % in donations, doing this increases the success and prevents the bad side effects.

You have to be able to switch off your own thoughts. This takes years of training. The payments, "service given" are very high, consistent energy work. Sometimes I read a selection of psalms 300-1000x, directed requests, focused on the outcomes. Certain mantras and sufi dhikrs worked well for this as well.

Often during the sessions you feel like the stacked energy from your rituals works as some virtual credit, as long as you have it the games do magic, then suddenly, after x hours you run out of it, feeling drained, knowing it's gone. It sucks you dry.

Now I'm only focusing on weekly lotteries, at least for now. Taking a break from the casino madness. It does work with lotteries but it's much more difficult than with slot machines. Going to experiment with the lotteries for a while.

For me it was like yes and no. I noticed how Sunday (Sun) Wednesday (Mercury) Thursday (Jupiter) Friday (Venus) were performing much better, especially during the planetary hours. I checked also some transitviewer website which displayed the special astrological connections.
Monday and Tuesday were the worst gambling days  Saturday was not that good either. Although I remember I once won a jackpot on Saturday, it was morning. The best results seemed to come in the evenings.

tallismans
I used small yellow note papers and drew seals of Solomon on them. They gave some interesting results. These seals seemed to work for a few weeks then I had to redo them. Paper does not hold the charge well, better get them in metal or recreate them every now and then.

Any books - or articles - recommended for the subject?
Ask such questions in Book Discussion and Reviews with a Seeking Recommendation tag, your query will very likely go unnoticed so far down this thread. Searching the forum is another option.

I once asked about this (gambling and magick) and was told that luck is not a spell or a specific event but a flow state. You are trying to tap into the current of luck or the flow of luck rather than trying to change an event.

Gamblers often talk about being in the zone. I used to think that was just a gambler's high, but now I wonder if there’s really something to it [being in the zone].
