I have a ritual that I channeled, and it involves several postures, but I’m not sure if I channeled them correctly. I’m wondering if there’s any mythological or traditional origin behind them; maybe I could use that to figure out what the correct forms are.

4. Right Hand — Names
Start with your right hand from the lower left and slowly move it diagonally upward to the upper right. As you make this movement, invoke the names of Ishtar:

Inanna. Ishtar. Nin-an-na. Nin-me-šara. Ishtar of Uruk. Ishtar of Nineveh. Ishtar of Arbela.

5. Left Hand — Epithets
Start with your left hand from the upper left and slowly move it diagonally downward to the lower right. As you make this descent, address her by her epithets:
“O Queen of Heaven. O Morning Star, O Evening Star. O bringer of love, O uniter of lovers. O bearer of love, O binder of hearts. O remover of distances. O Great Goddess, O Mighty Goddess. O She whose dominion is eternal.”

6. Hands Meet — The Request
Slowly bring the hand at the upper right downward and touch the hand waiting at the lower right. At that exact moment:
“Let this lover come to me.”

it's obviously for love magick of sorts. I tried this ritual, but as soon as I perform these postures, the flow of energy gets disrupted. It’s pretty obvious that something is wrong with them.

Belinda Gore wrote a book on Ecstatic Body Postures. You might be able to find something in her work that could help you with your ritual posture work.

Apparently, the left hand is supposed to be the target itself; it’s meant to represent the target. This is a ritual that can be shared, so if I see any results from it, I’ll post the whole thing here.
