Since we are talking about immortality, and we alluded to Castaneda, this brings up an interesting point about the inorganic beings , the Tunnels of Set, and also 'old sorcerers' who would not relinquish their ego 'in Toltec times 'and became trapped in the Tunnels, or the Nightside of the Tree.
I guess one could view this as a part of the lower astral, or perhaps the etheric as well. Too heavy to ascend to higher realms, out into the universe, they seem stuck to the Earth plane/sphere or to Malkuth.
They are immortal but in a very limited and seemingly miserable way.
Now that is something worth thinking about, if not even exploring. (I don't think I'm able of that now, but who knows...)

If we presume that there are many realms beyond physical, then becoming a resident there will no doubt give both advantages and disadvantages to the being living there, eternally or not.

If it is alright then depends on whether the bing find advantages outmatching disadvantages.

Regarding this dilemma, the question arises: why create some kind of double if our being already contains a double? I’m not saying this because I am inspired by Castaneda's books, but because it is a fact that human beings possessing a hidden 'double' has long been known. It’s not really a double, but an unused potential that manifests as a 'double'. The ancient Egyptians used the word 'khaibit' to express that completely magical and largely unknown part of a human being. It is a 'shadow', but not in the Jungian sense. This 'shadow' is independent, active, and can be endangered, captured, or even stolen. It has an apotropaic function, meaning it provides protection, signifies presence, but also marks the trace of the being. The khaibit is precisely the prey of predatory occult forces. When it is said that someone 'sold their soul to the devil', it means they handed over their khaibit to demonic forces. Khaibit is precisely the part of a human being through which possessing spirits enter a person. Also, khaibit is connected to the world of dreams and dark realms. Thus, the khaibit has the potential for dark immortality, but it is necessary to awaken it and maintain control over it.

Heh, here I thought that selling the soul means selling yourself into slavery...

There was this guy I used to follow on YouTube. I had one of his book. It was called The Infernal Hand. The guy's name is DH Thorne. Anyway, the thing is I read in his book that you can create an Energetic double of some kind. I can tell you from my experiences that you can shapeahift into whatever you want. But I only done it while visualizing myself Out of the Body. I don't know if it'll happen while you are really Out of The Body.

Regarding Ka, there is an analogy with a double, but not with the so-called astral double in the modern sense. Ka is a channel through which the energy of rituals passes into the otherworld. Ka is an active ritual entity: it is 'fed,' 'invoked,' 'renewed,' and 'strengthened' through rituals. Ka is, therefore, a ritual recipient of life, the one who 'consumes' the subtle essence of offerings. The same applies to the deceased: if the Ka is not fed, it weakens, along with the existence in the Duat. Without the Ka, the body is dead, the Ba wanders, and the Akh does not manifest. The Khaibit is a ritually passive but magically sensitive component. The Khaibit does not feed, is not invoked, and is not renewed — but it can be trapped, damaged, or recovered. The Khaibit as a shadow is not a metaphor but a real subtle projection of the being. Indicatively, the Khaibit has no cult of its own in Egypt. This fact itself points to its connection with something forbidden, and therefore magically potent. The Khaibit as a 'shadow' is a vulnerability: whoever controls someone's shadow magically influences the person. For this reason, Khaibit is magical protection of the integrity of being. Khaibit is therefore something closest to what we consider a double.

The Khaibit does not have ritual autonomy — it is an indicator of a state, not its cause. It is a shadow that follows. The problem in all of this is projecting the Ba and ensuring that the Khaibit does not become a prey. In this sense, the Khaibit can be the bearer of the Ba, its dwelling, and then the being disintegrates. That is why the Egyptians point out the necessity of connecting the Ba with the Ka, but for this to happen, the presence of the Khaibit is essential. The Khaibit is not an active participant in this, but it has an indicative and protective role.

Are you sure about the name? I do have The Infernal Vampire from this guy, but this book I cannot find.

Oh yeah, it was The Infernal Vampire. Sorry about that.
That is a good book. Though I don't remember if there was anything about the double. There was initiation ritual for sure, tried that one. (and failed)

There was the part where he describes how to create a Bat-humanoid double or something like that. All you have to do is imagine yourself as a giant Bat and fly. When I read that I was mind-blown. As I stated before, you can shapeshift your Astral body into whatever you want. It was only while visualizing that I had the chance to shapeshift. I visualized Myself as Jesus at one point. I felt myself as Jesus.

I can do that, I use chanting, that somehow works by changing me into bat. First time it held for hours so it was rather confusing experience, to feel wings while seeing hands... Not to mention different shape of head and teeth. Lol.

I was reading through material of Mikal Nyght, he suggest achieing of immortality through creating energetic double (later in work named the Other) and then merging with him in order to achieve immortality.

He doesn't specify the way of creating the double, seems to be open to many possibilities, including crush on fictional character to create design for the other for the moment.

When it is creted it is supposed to be "fed" energy till it becomes strong enough to work independently and influencing your life in order to help you get towards the goal, which is reuunion of you and your Double, or moving your consciousness from your body into the Double.

At least this sounds possible and has some ense of being doable.

Would like opinions of others on this.
Tbh... Some people who had no clue, created their own double and then they do not know what they did. and then they get scared of it :D Also, it is stored in the physical body 2 inches above the navel node. It feeks creepy initially. But then you Synch with it over time

I think I've heard about one such story...

Wouldn't be surprising honestly, when I think about imaginary friends or crushes some (a lot I think) people have on movie or games characters.

Sounds very ambitious. I think you would need to be channeling the energy continuously for a looong period of time. Something like the monks of Nepal do, when they meditate until they transcend.

Who knows what truly is possible? I've heard of this one too, thanks for reminding me. Though I don't know if and how many of them succeed with this ritual.

In Mikals books there is constant emphasis on the "I am", how you are the only god there is, you are the most powerful being in existence, you are the creator of reality.... while the twin is only it's servant. And so on. He clearly says that "you are already immortal, but you need to realize that" (or at least something like that). He also says you are non-local. This shouldn't be overlooked. The double is your created astral body. It's not one of the bodies you already have, it's specifically created by you in a concious manner in order to eventually inhabit it permanently. The double is spiritualized and thus permanent unlike your normal bodies. How is it spiritualized? Through your Spirit/ Conciousness. The "I" is your Spirit and is what is supposed to be the only immortal, eternal thing about you. It's also what could be rightly called non-local. Mikal, if I remember correctly, also stated that the twin is in fact NOT a tulpa, but your higher self. The twin basically is your "I" inside of your astral body.

That's why Mikal is harping so much on the "I am", because in the end the source of your immortality and your immortal double is nothing other than your Spirit. Not eternal feeding of the double altought feeding it and a lot of energy might be necessary especially in the beginning to fully create it and make it solid and real. Mikal explains that real immortality is being eternal, which also means infinitely backwards and forwards in time. And not being able to die at all (altought about this I'm not sure). That already would destroy all the ideas of having to constantly feed the double to stay immortal.
At this time Atkinsons "Arcane Formulas" comes in handy, as it's a short but important book that deals directly with the topic of the Spirit and bringing you to yourself. It's a very basic fundamental beginner book, but fundamentals are the most important thing in anything.

It's not like I understand this stuff fully, but this is how I try to make sense of it. It's been a while since I last read Mikals books, please do correct me if I'm wrong somewhere.

I think that you remember it quite fine. I keep reading that book daily again, nowadays and I don't think that you got anything wrong.

I must read it again. Especially the first one. Maybe something more will be realized. The thing about the twin not being a tulpa, I honestly don't know if Mikal himself said that in the books or if it was in his old forum, or if it was Della who posted it.

I read only the first one, the other two I gave away on train station for whoever decides to take them. People keep leaving and taking books there a lot, society got used to it here, those free libraries. Got beautiful print of Dracula this way.

The first book speaks to me, maybe because I'm so much into vampires. 😅
