I don't think the Great Wall will prevent them. You can always give it a try and see for yourself (and afterwards maybe share your experiences for those interested)

You can answer this for yourself by asking yourself this question: “If I had to live outside China for an extended period of time, would I still practice my Chinese occult practice/religion, or would I have to switch to the occult practice of that region?”

It depends on the "power" of the spirit. Usually named spirits from grimoires can be conjured from anywhere, since they were perceived by magicians tapping into other subtle spheres of influence. Your local ghost, childhood tree spirits, or village protector spirit will probably not be accessible once you're out of the area.

The Grimorium Verum specifically has seals for Lucifer depending on which continent you're on, along with rulerships for different continents, but even this doesn't seem to matter since his most popular seal is the one for him ruling Asia, yet people get great results in America with it! There's probably some overlap in the hierarchy that we can't (or don't need to) map out from the spirit's perspective.

The quickest answer is Yes. The long answer is that any practice in of itself requires its own dedication, but most are meant to be universal. However, as ashlesha mentions, there are certain variations depending on region, this might be a topic worth expanding upon more if there is anything more to it, but generally the answer is it is all universal. Practice is not in the area, but in the practitioner, their practice, and their dedication. I think this notion is important to remember for a lot of things within the occult.

Specifically with Goetia though, that is probably as universal as you can get.

Not all spirits have universal geographic range. Some are more connected to places than others, but the Goetic crew are pretty free ranging. I'm confident that being in China will present no special challenges.

You are not limited by geography when it comes to spirit work. Spirits can be summoned from anywhere in the world, regardless of where you are physically located.

A local spirit from China can be summoned from another continent and vice versa. You do not have to stand in a specific physical location in China to work with its local spirits. I have summoned and worked with local spirits from various regions without ever traveling to their physical territories.
