Do you think karma is real? I want to cast a revenge spell on my ex-lover, but I'm afraid that if the spell works, I might experience karma. Is karma just a fabrication to prevent people from casting spells, or will I really experience the spell I cast for revenge?

In my experience there is no such thing as Karma. That’s why good things happen to terrible people and horrible things often happen to good innocent people. There is always the possibility of your own guilt having a negative impact on you or other people or spirits wanting revenge but that isn’t Karma. However, it is also important to be the sort of person you want to see in the world. If this ex truly abused you emotionally, physically, spiritually, psychologically, etc, then by all means become the sword of vengeance and retribution. But do so after deciding whether it is justified.

In Buddhism, karma is a universal law of cause and effect rather than a system of rewards and punishments and have an action in relation to cycles of rebirth. The bastardised form found in the West would be unrecognisable to a practicing Buddhist.

And couldn’t agree with HellenaHex more! Well said..

Wield that sword of vengeance! Or not!

You might get more benefit from doing magic to heal yourself from the damaging relationship. I know it’s easier said than done when wounds are raw, I speak from experience.

As for casting a revenge spell, I'd say go for it. You'll learn something by doing more than by just thinking about it. Are you afraid of results?
