Left and right paths

I recently discovered that the distinction between left and right paths have very old roots and stayed in our culture all this time. The first text on demonology ever written, the Treatise on the Left Emanation, states that evil spirits came from the left side of God (they're the left emanation), while the righteous spirits originated from the right side (they're the right emanation). In the Christian Bible, it is stated that the goats are to the left of God, while the sheep are to his right.

This spatial metaphor endured in our culture for centuries, to the extent that it even evolved into the division of political ideologies into left-wing (liberal) and right-wing (conservative). During the French Revolution, the Baron de Gauville said: "We began to recognize each other: those who were loyal to religion and the king took up positions to the right of the chair so as to avoid the shouts, oaths, and indecencies that enjoyed free rein in the opposing camp".

I don't know the Christian bible very well. Is the left<<>>right dichotomy above consistent with the narrative? Are the goats being punished? Are the sheep being saved?

Could I butt in the thread with an opinion?

Actually not merely an opinion but a fact I have seen in my own spiritual practices that may shed a little light on that entire left/right thing. The souls trying to adhere to the right path (I say try to adhere since there is no such thing as a perfect path through either-they are simply too mixed up in the real world) are trying to reconnect to the Source (or God, if you prefer the "official" terminology) while the souls trying to adhere to the left path are trying to develop themselves into new Sources (yes, that means that the left ones are trying to become Gods within separate creations of this one). That is the ultimate difference between right and left souls. I know, I know people have told you the left ones are evil spirits, Satan's spawn, whatever, but the cosmic reality has a lot to do with karma and its intentions and carrying it out rather than with Good and Evil.

If you are a right walker the goal is to minimize your karmic imprint to zero and live as far away of physical pleasures as possible. But then the Universe rewards you with a lot of spiritual pleasures and you also start serving as a beacon of such experiences to the ones next to you. This is why they also call it the righteous path-you abstain from more "simple" pleasures in order to get into richer spiritual experiences which you could share with others. You also make space for this light to touch everyone near you and ascend them when you go down that path. But the reunion with the Source and the full abstention of the physical come at a price-you surrender your capacity to shine as a Source yourself. Yes, I believe that is achievable, too. Yes, you can become a God, if you wish for it. And that is the left path. That is its essence.

Contrary to what the propaganda of the rightists says if you concentrate your spiritual development on the physical and want to know and when knowing-to permeate the physical-with your own Soul you could (which too comes at a great price for your Soul) gain such an attachment to it that your karma will go on a path towards infinity, instead of zero. But that process must be well regulated and extremely well observed. You are too prone to mistakes along that route. It's also much more steep, dangerous and requires the full potential of your Soul. But....in exchange you could pick a plan of another Universe, another creation and become its Source (yes, its God). That is what that path ultimately leads to. Yes, it is much grandiose than the right path but as you could see far more difficult and demanding. The real question is:

What do you want to choose for yourself?

And that is the crux of this form of existence, of this Universe, of this Creation-the chief reason free will exists is to make it possible for all Souls to understand the price of living-either abstain from suffering and the eternal karmic relationships it brings with it and go on to merge with your Creator, or.....become one yourself and understand to accept suffering forever-as long as you exist no matter what form your Soul takes but enjoy creation altogether and continue supporting it ad infinitum.

Did the question about the difference between the two paths became clearer now?

I always found it strange how 9/10 humans have a natural disposition to be right-handed, but some wind up left handed. In the past, people would just be forced to use their right hand, and as a matter of fact in some places of the world people still are forced to learn right-handed. Only in the past century have people eased up on the idea that being left-handed, but this superstition of left "straying from god" or being unclean or what have you has universally been a thing in cultures all over the world.

In addition I would only want to say I believe the spiritual forces controlling this world (yes, I believe there are spirits controlling every aspect of our lives that we cannot see, hear, taste or sense in any way-at least, the ordinary people can't) have manipulated this entire civilization throughout its entire history as to erase the true representatives of the left path and replace them with lies about its essence and practices in order to promote the right path. I believe (my personal information through communion with spirits) the reason is the fact there were left civilizations before that in the history of this planet that caused major disasters to themselves and others and after a particularly violent right leaning cult (what essentially became the foundation for all Abrahamic religions) took off in the Middle East some millennia ago it started to wipe out and twist all left traditions for the sake of misrepresenting humanity as a right leaning only species and this process continues to this day. But people need to learn the truth about the left and be able to choose their paths for themselves!

Judeo-Christian "culture" is not that old. I am unaware of such distinction in other cultures (yes, even in Indian sources it's different). Doesn't know about such in Greek or Romans, not mentioning older ones. And "left-right" political thing made me laugh. Do you realize it's not only completely artificial, but it also has left and right mixed up. Sorry, it's something occult masters of England back in the days did to confuse people. The principle is to manufacture two lies and present them as alternatives in order to conceal the truth. Next, my own occult and non-occult practice shows definitely that left hand - right hand polarity is BS. Even as a belief you can adopt in chaos magic, I don't recommend it - no benefits to adopting it. Also if you understand intelligence, you may know that binary logic, while very old indeed, is not suited for real world navigation. It is used to programm primitive minds with polarities that are easy to leverage, works the same in occult, religion, politics. And occult is more political than you may think.

The conflation of the tantric left-hand/right-hand practice with the moral God/Satan, sephiroth/qlippoth, union with the divine/individualized apotheosis concept is at most a century and a half old. It's a reflection of crude Victorian misunderstandings of fairly subtle Indic philosophical concepts getting mashed together with completely unrelated and philosophically opposed concepts from the monotheist/neo-platonist Mediterranean traditions. I've never found it a particularly useful set of concepts.

Yeah I can see why they would mix them up. The Left and Right path kind of make sense to me in way because I think in movements. With spatial awareness. But I look at the goals of both and I think huh. I don't want to serve and I don't want to be a source. I just want to move. So thinking in left and right paths work me for some weird reason despite not really agreeing with either.

Also I think thats still done today. The left and right handed thing. The reason being I can write with both my left and right hand. I didn't know I could write with my left hand until recently. I just never tried and assumed I was like everyone else thar I just had one dominant hand.

Turns out I could write with both so maybe its subtle but because its subtle affects people that can write with are amdexterious. But I got lefts and rights confused all the time when I was kid. I later learned how to tell them apart and thats by the game Minecraft. You destroy blocks by left clicking the mouse and then build by right clicking the mouse and then never got them confused again.

The fear of people that were left handed in culture/religion might have started out because they might have had an edge in physical confrontations.

In boxing people with southpaws or those who are left handed have an advantage due to their stance being different. Right handed people are just not used to it so people that are left handed have an advantage. Winning a lot of physical confrontations might have made people more likely to be afraid of southpaws thus the shunning. Atleast thats my hypothesis.

You know, Ive made few posts in here about similar topics, I have read from few sources that demons like in demonic posessions can alter peoples minds and toughts, and I am from Mexico, our country is very Leftist, and our drug cartels work hand to hand with the polititians in turn, basically all of them so like I think last year we had a horrible discovery of a extermination camp here in my state, it was horrible what people suffered there, I honestly think many of this mexican hit men, drug lords, and even greedy polititians are being controlled by "spiritual" beings, some people agree with me some other dont, but I stick to it.

@Audiolog Edu I will completely trust you on the matter of politicians+cartel members being possessed by other worldly entities. I myself have suffered from contact with such entities, so I believe it's all 100% real. Unfortunately this is what they do and when people distrust the truth was has happened in your country is what usually happens-a reign of terror, injustice, and crime. And of course-lies. Many many lies. Lies that permeate every aspect of your existence. Including the truth of the left path.

What I believe the left path is really about is letting you become a God, a master of an Universe, a Creator, a Source and that is the most enlightened, glorious, and nourishing path you can take. But these entities, these demons have turned this golden path into a hellish nightmare by smearing those who truly want to take it as evil doers and criminals-something that they themselves are since if the left leaning people were to realize their true potential and chase that path toward divination the demonic hordes would be utterly defeated, muted and left without a single inch of power. This is why they fear the truth more than anything.

And the truth is the human consciousness, actually ll kinds of consciousness, could be expanded to infinity and the human condition can be improved beyond anything we have encountered up to now (I'm talking about the history of this civilization). They fear this progress and want to stop, stunt and annihilate every trace of it. That is why there are so many wars and misery caused by them. This, however dark, shouldn't stop all those with spiritual eyes open enough to see both paths for what they are and continuing on them. That is the only path to victory over them.

The authentic left path means growing to infinity in your spiritual practices and emerging as a Source of all permeating light. This would never be achieved by bowing to demons and surrendering to your passion. Those are satanical lies spread through the millennia to convert, deceive and manipulate people into submitting to the horrible cult that now runs the planet. But this cult would lead to nothing but the annihilation of your Soul and the imprisonment of mankind by evil entities who only wish us to remain their loyal cattle. This is why the true left practitioners must wake up and tell the truth fearlessly despite all the odds stacked against them!

This is one of my favorite biblical distinctions. Even though this topic comes up a thousand times, I never get tired of it. The entire Christian cosmology is defined by this distinction in consciousness: Obedience and Disobedience. It is also important to acknowledge that The Church is an entity that is separate from God, it's an organization made of men and con-artists, who claim to have God's authority here on Earth so that you submit your power to them. In the old days, they would only read the bible in Latin so that the peasants would be utterly dependent on the literate priests for salvation. Martin Luther changed much, but the cancer at the center of organized religion is still there to this day. There is no shepherd for the billions of sheep, only very charming and convincing goats, who become high priests.

The interpretation of this distinction is also corrupted. The authority wants you to believe that the LHP and goats are evil, selfish, malicious servants of the Devil. This perspective isn't unfounded, many who leave the flock do so because they're ill or insane, which some people classify as demonic possession, however those true Lords of the Left Hand Path are possessed and swayed by no entity but themselves. These cartel members who are demonically possessed are actually very angry, stupid, and cold sheep.

Sheep & Goats, Mass-Man & The Individuated, Lord of the Left Hand Path & Servant of the Right, the interpretation here is obvious. Those on the Right Hand Path look to harmonize, they want to reinforce the societal structure by participating in it, they trust God to be a truly omnipotent and well meaning entity because he says so and look to authority figures with the same reverence, even as they molest children. The sheep moves with the herd and adds its strength to it, possessing in exchange the whole strength of the herd.

The Left Hand Path, rather, focuses on individual development. You strengthen your eyes and sharpen your mind, you make your own conclusions based off what you see, not what you're told, which places you in a completely different reality than the majority of people who - whether they know it or not - are linked to the Right Hand Path's stream of consciousness.

People call OP Schizophrenic for making this leap, however if you look at how the parties are portrayed through their mascots, it fits.

The Conservative party proudly holds on to religion and tradition, the most violent militant groups - including the Nazi party - expressed conservative values in reality regardless of what they say. They desire a more unified, strengthened societal structure with empowered authority figures and censored opposition. Their goal is stability for the greater society.

The Liberal party is proudly individualistic with levels of self-expression that defy conventional tradition. Most anarchist movements are liberal. Their goal is greater freedom for the individual.

I will finish this post with what I think is the most important interpretation of this duality:

The sheep and right hand path represent primal consciousness, tribe mentality, safety through structure. This is the most natural form of consciousness for a human being to take on, in fact it takes extreme effort and luck to even escape this, as many rebellious Satanist teens just become caricatures and reinforce the status quo with their rebellion. Harmony with nature, harmony with society. They are controlled by the animal part of man.

The goats and Lord of the Left Hand Path are those who actually possess divine consciousness, who are free, unmoved by manipulation, consensus, dictated morality, etc. They are closest to the creator because they themselves are just as free. This is why they are portrayed as evil, because they do not act according to what the culture or times dictate as "normal" or "moral". They are controlled by the divine part of man.

Sitra Achra is mentioned in Zohar ~around same time as Treatise on the left Emanation was written, however Vamachara tantra dates to 6th century. Also one interesting question is that where you draw the line between left and right, east and west, north and south? You might get different answer from different people...

There's a great deal of good information in what you've written; however, I'm noticing occasions where inner-vs-outer is mistaken as left-vs-right.

For example, attachments are like anchors which are naturally opposed to ascension beyond oneself. However these same attachments do not hinder an inner probing within oneself. This inner path is often, imo incorrectly, described in terms of "left" which obscures a unique inward opportunity.

@IllusiveOwl I'm sorry but I want agree with you. There are clear right and left paths based on what not merely the people but the Souls want to become of them ultimately. The biggest difference is that the followers of the right path simply want to live their lives consuming the maximum amount of both material and spiritual pleasures and in exchange they pay with becoming one with the Creator once they have had enough of what this creation, this Universe, this existence has to offer them. They are like the ephemera-insects which live very shortly in their mature forms only to mate and lay their eggs-bound to return to the Source as early as they consume enough pleasures of the Creation to discover everything just repeats itself, but in newer forms, forever and ever and this knowledge drives them mad. Then, they recognize the Source as the only path for them and they want to surrender completely to it to attain the greatest pleasure of all-to become one with it and cease existing. thus, their stories will always be of obedience and surrender and they will always want to minimize pain and increase pleasure. That is just the way they are meant to be-it's what is required to make their existence as minimal as it can be while achieving the greatest happiness attainable for them. You can't really blame them for their choice then.

The left path followers, however, choose a very very very different goal. When they approach the Source they don't want to merge with it-they want to become it! Their entire essence is about birthing creation again and again no matter how many times they would have to live out the same since their goal is to see life flourish, birth in ever novel Universes playing out different plans, and most of all reinforce existence. They modify their own spirits so they can birth novel Creations by becoming one with them thus bringing them to life as they exist as their Gods. As a result from that the true followers of the left path become more spiritually aware, stronger and independent but that path can also lead to pride, hubris, and contempt for others. It's a much steeper road than the right path. But in the end you become an infinite Creator of novel existence. The price is to embrace the circle of life and mutate your essence in a way that will accept that endless existence must bring endless suffering, too, and that the price for living is endless separation from your source which could be compensated only with creation on your own. There is no way around it. If you are the Source you must make your creations suffer just as you yourself have suffered to get there. There is a price to pay for everything and that is yours. If can hamdle that relevation you can literally become a God, if you can't-then the right path has always been the one for you.

Now do you understand it?

That is the essence of the point of living in this Universe, in this Creation, in this existence and I believe all the major religions say the same thing but it the truth has been buried for the past few centuries due to its inconvenience for the powers that be. And that is the answer you were searching for all along.

I think I managed to put my views there quite succinctly, although I must admit this form of discussion-posting in forum threads-doesn't offer me the best way to elucidate my views. As, I suppose you very well know, you know complete explanations are very time and space consuming and they cannot be given by just a few paragraphs in a forum, thou I must admit, one could very well try to make a synthesis and give the core of it in such a format.

Most of what you said is speculation and abstract theory on what the spiritual architecture of the afterlife is, which frankly you know nothing about, you can only guess at, yet you posture as a prophet.

Not only that, but it's obvious from how you talk about Source that you don't entirely comprehend it or the implications of it to us as individuals.

I suggest rather than getting lost in the clouds with whimsy and broad assumptions, you try and apply your ideas to the here and now to see if they make any sense. Only a small fraction of what you said has any substance to it, the rest is cardboard wishful thinking.

You focus primarily on the destination, when the reality of the paths are lived out here in reality in this moment, that is what my post centered on, outside of throwing shade at the ever-charismatic @Audiolog Edu
