I don't know how to title this lol, but I made a pantheon for a story I'm making and I ended up getting really attached to this one God, like only God I've ever really felt connected with. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm curious

One could say all gods were "made up" like that at some point, at least in part. What kind of god is it?

That is truee
She's a God of Life and Creation! Her name is The Chimera, she's a very playful god, and her heads represent emotion, logic, and Vices. In the story she's one of the major gods! Basically gods that sacrificed themselves in their first era to make the islands of Atlas

I have so much to say about her lol, she's very dear to me

Emotion and logic? Life, creation and vices (unless this is some proper noun)? Truly, "Chimera" is a good name. Does she have some central theme or are the mismatched domains the whole point?

Her central theme is basically humanity, each of the Gods in Atlas created a specific species, and the Gods represent these species, like The Phoenix who's the Harpy God, or The Mole who's the Critterfolk God. Chimera is the God who created humans and animals, hence why she is a mix of both. She's meant to be more of a mixture than the other gods though due to her being a Chimera

Ah, I see, interesting. That's certainly an effective way of representing humanity.

Making one's own pantheon has a certain popularity in chaos magic.
Came here to say this, chaos magick focuses heavily on creating your own belief systems using egregores or godforms.
Phil Hine in Condensed Chaos goes into extensive detail about this, with his example being the characters from Rocky Horror Picture Show mapped to the Kabbalah Tree of Life.

Magick is what you make it, why not make gods.

I suppose it depends on what one defines a god and a pantheon of such entities to actually be in practice, which of course is something quite personal to each person, and can vary a great deal depending on cultural upbringing or basic underlying assumptions about worldviews in general. In my own practice, for example, I treat the gods as beings that possess tremendous "integrity" you might say, because they represent something which truly is eternal and permanent, something which often cannot easily be named or represented in our limited imaginations. And so these archetypal beings can have many shapes or images that come to all point at them through the synchronicity that we call "gnosis", and how powerful that gnosis can be and how long it lasts, including how long it persists across generations and cultures and across history, is the measure of the "power" of these beings, and why they are often referred to as "gods" in the first place.

But, to your point, I do believe it is quite possible to "invent" such beings, if we are a bit open-minded about what we consider to really be happening when we "invent" a god. Perhaps "discover" could be another word to use that also works here and carries a somewhat similar energy to it. In either case, I do believe there are new "god-forms" you might call them, which are waiting to be discovered (or invented) by wise and clever people, such as yourself for example. I think the one you described in this thread is a very suitable example of this kind of generative process that can still go on even in modern times, just as it always did in ancient ones.
